That makes sense. I remember in 2003, I was so happy when we beat the Lakers... 2 years of getting our ass kicked by them made that victory all the more sweeter. I'm sure Mavs have similar emotions...

But all those feelings have happiness lasted exactly until the Mavs beat us in Game one in 2003. That's the thing about Basketball: you're never satisfied. Even after winning 3 Championships, we still want more.

But I'll tell you this: losing this year will just make winning next year that much better!
I COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU MORE.

If your throwing jewelry around, how about a "I beat the suns ring".
You have to do it first...

Who's bragging. You haven't understood one word I've said. Beating the spurs right now means nothing. It's been done and over. I want to keep winning. I want to feel what winning it all is like. I've been a mavs fan since brad davis, since kiki asswipe vandewuss, since tarpley snorted my mojo, since derek harpers mistake to the lakers. I'm not putting down the spurs.OK?

If you actually read what I posted you would see that the comparison I make is how you can love the team and hate the owner.I even pointed out that Ford has never won anything but its a sad day when you would sell your soul to the devil just for wins. And also will You still think hes a good owner if you never win a le? Spare me Mavs fans,He made you compe ive for his own purposes and not cause HE LOVES DALLAS

Oh, you mean he doesn't love the city of Dallas. Well, that makes two of us.

Basically Cuban didn't want to be paying Nash when he was 35-36. Let me just point out one thing to you Mavs fans. Lets say its not Nash, but it was Jordan in the same situation (when he was 30 he retired from the league for the first time). So pretend he'd wanted a 5 year contract. Well, he'd be 35 when that ended. I bet he sucked when he was 35. That's pretty old. Mark probably wouldn't have taken that deal either. Or how about when he was 40? Yeah, lets bring 40 year old Jordan to the Mavs. You know what, 40 year old Jordan would have been the second leading scorer on this year's Mavs. Oh, and he would have been one of the only players to play in all 82 games (Dirk was in 81 and I think Dampier was the only one in all 82). It's not about age. 35 isn't all that old for a point guard. They can still play at 35. Big guys are more worn out by that age. Nash is one of the most energetic players in the league, and not just when the game is in play. The guy is bouncing around throughout the entire warm-ups like there are springs in his shoes or something. I've never seen another player with that much energy. When I saw him play in person last year, I thought what is this guy doing? He's going to be exhausted in the 4th quarter from all of this. He's like a 3 year old. Well, he really was like a 3 year old. That energy never went away, and he proceeded to dominate on the court. I don't think he's going to all of a sudden become a vegetable when he turns 35, and frankly I'd take a 35 year old Nash or a 40 year old Jordan over a lot of players.

You do realize that he holds about 15-20 seats a game near courtside and gives them to fans with "nosebleed seats" every game right. You do realize he gave every fan in attendance a voucher for free airfare. You do realize that about 3-4 times a year the upper deck gets free concessions. You do realize that he arranges for "the little guy" to attend free basketball seminars, clinics and expos right. He does a lot more than these little nonpublicized tidbits. I'd say he is a great owner for the common fan.
You do realize when he s out comes flowers, etc...:yawn

It's actually roses. I don't blame you for hating Cuban since he has constructed a team that knocked you out. The motivation is understandable. I'm not thrilled by many of his antics but I am damn glad he owns the Mavericks and is willing to open the wallet to win. We wants to win so bad he can't stand it and he treats the fans with class, despite the ignorant ranting of a trivial Pisstoons fan to the contrary.

Steve Nash wouldn't be the player he is right now if he'd come back to Dallas. It's pretty easy to look at Steve's stats in Phoenix and say "oh well bbububuu dallas sure misses that" but if you looked past the black and white you'd realize he gets those stats because of the type of system he plays in. In Dallas he'd be expected to play on defense and he wouldn't be running and gunning as much as he does as a Sun. Not to mention we tried to win with Nash for 4-5 years and what always happened? He always wore down come playoff time. He didn't have to wear down last season because Amare carried the team, he has already wore down in the other 2 series Phoenix has played. If there isn't a 2-3 day gap between game 6 and game 7 in round 2 then the Clippers win that series because Nash was absolutely flat in game 6.

No one can deny that Dallas isn't a better team without Nash and the bottom line is Cuban offered Nash a contract anyways and could have matched the Suns offer but didn't think it was worth it so I see no reason to hate on him. He's made more than enough ty contract decisions already. I mean you have Dampiers contract, Finleys ridiculous contract, Shawn Bradley, Eschmieyer, I could probably go on and on.
