You know, I really hope that the Mavericks win the championship, just so they can finally feel the weight and burden of having to defend a championship. Maybe then, they will start to have a little respect for what the Spurs have had to deal with, knowing that everyone wants to play their best game against you and not just beat you, but embarrass you. I guarantee you this, if Dallas should win the championship this year, they won't repeat next year. Because they will have lost the hunger they had this year and I doubt they can count on such stellar performances from Terry, Stackhouse, and Howard in the coming year. No, this forthcoming year will prove that the Mav's championship run was a fluke and I can't wait until this one ends and next year begins.

Weirdly enough, there may be a chance that Phil doesn't mind us so much anymore. I think he may actually realize that for a long time, we were the only compe ion they had. People forget, we ended their dynasty run. I guess that is what the Mavs are trying to do to us, but in reality the games we had with the Lakers in my mind were the best games to watch as a fan, because you had two different philosophies and coaching styles butting heads. All the Mavs really did was copy us. (thank you avery for telling them all our plays) Basically, Avery was the key for them. You can say what you want about the players but without Avery, they are looking at a first-round exit, maybe second round. That's just the cold hard truth.
