Maybe Rasho is some how involved?
Maybe Rasho is some how involved?
Well, I doubt it. Who should we get in return?
the number one draft pick
lol
I doubt the Raptors will take on Rasho's contract. It would be sweet though.
If the Raps draft big, I doubt they would take Oberto AND Rasho. Oberto makes sense as a short-term solution to the center need. Rasho would be long-term and that probably isn't what they're looking for if they think Bosh or the pick will eventually start at C.
Bobcat just made reference to it on the Fan 590, saying there's news of a Raptors trade going down and he heard Bonner may be 1 of the principles, that's all he said
according to realgm thread
Who is "bobcat"?
Its still a rumor though, right? I hope it goes down. Oberto wasn't getting playing time here anyway.
I wouldn't doubt that at all.
I'm waiting for word from Hoopsworld.
maybe the guy on the radio![]()
I do not know I posted what the realgm thread said
I do not live there
Fan says they hope to announce something in 2hrs or so. Thats about as official as weve heard.
Oberto is pretty decent for Toronto. He's better for recently departed Araujo, that's for sure. He's non-athletic, but Bosh makes up for that some. Oberto's a hard worker and a smart veteran, and so gives them something Bonner didn't at the position.
Anyway Scola is involved in this trade or anyone else like Beno?
I certainly hope not.
I doubt Oberto would be involved. They are overloaded at the PF position.
If Scola rights are part of the deal we better get at least their 35 pick and not just Bonner.
(Plus, I feel sorry for Bonner if he comes to SA. Public transport is a joke and the sprawl means a vehicle is necessary.)
Bonner >> Oberto
Time to sign on the dotted line
That would make it something like Scola for the #35, which is ridiculous, IMO.
Supposedly the deal is our 2nd rounder this year + Oberto for Bonner. Interesting.
Spurs calling a press conference at 5:00
Spurs conference coming up this afternoon........
I was holding out hope to get Bobby Jones with that late pick, which was unlikely, so whatever. I guess it's fine.
So... either the Spurs have a good idea they'll get a pick elsewhere, or aren't picking up any true rookies this year at all.
Oberto is more a center than a PF.
This draft is so bad , we're just as likely to pick up a contirbutor from summer league as we are the second round.
