Dont forget the most important rule of summer league: if you suck in summer league, you're not ready for the NBA. But just because you look good in summer league doesn't mean you have an NBA game.
Actually stats in summer league pretty much mean nothing either way. I've seen guys get horrible stats in summer league and make a roster in fall. And seen guys dominate summer league and not.

The only way to get any indicator is to watch the games and really know the quality of the matchups.

    yes I know
if he plays well here he will be in trainging camp...........................................
He definitely looks like a keeper to training camp so far. But the last thing we need is for people to start penciling him in as our long 3 at this point.

Good to read Emmett seems to be contributing. The Mavs didn't give him much PT (understandably so, but still had to be frustrating).

Interesting. I guess I hadn't heard many cases of guys being horrible in summer league and then going on to get minutes in the NBA that year.

Noel will call me as soon as he's done in the locker room.

My friend Brian says that Mahinmi looked really good, he has nice broad shoulders but such a small base that he's going to have trouble holding his position in the NBA. He says that he needs to gain about 20 pounds.

Kudos to Mahinmi, who's playing well.

Sanders looks ready to settle on someone's bench.

Small base as in skinny hips? Is this a fixable problem?

Noel only had 3pts, 5rbs, 1bl. They ran almost everything to Emmett. He shot 10-15 from the field for 21 pts. Sene had 23min, 4-7FG, 2bl, 5rb, 8pts.

Brian said Mahinmi and Sene had more blocks than were accounted for on the stat sheets. He said they each had 2 just in the 4th quarter.

As in very skinny legs I believe. I'll ask more later.

    It wasn't for David Robinson.

The small base thing is weird, but yeah, DRob had like 32-inch hips.

Normally a small base means someone who is smaller in the trunk and rear-end. Jackie Butler has skinny legs, for instance, but he's got the booty to back people down and dislodge defenders leaning on them.
