Marks is a decent shooter. I love how when he goes to phoenix, he's automatically a "sharpshooter." The suns definately need more of them. Marks is an all out kind of player though

Adios, Aure voir and Goodbye, Marks. You should have seen time in the playoffs. The suns think the kiwi still has some juice left. I agree only b/c his game suits the suns

The Kiwi ing rules. Glad he's got a contract to keep playing in the NBA. He'll get some sick passes from Nash at some point this season, book it.

Good luck Kiwi. I know I'll miss him. Great guy in all ways.

He will do well out in Phoenix. If he gets any regular playing time, he can be a real contributor over there.

Book it. Really a good signing for them.

    It's official.

PHOENIX (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns on Thursday signed free agent Sean Marks to a one-year deal, beefing up the team's frontcourt depth with a veteran player.

Marks, 30, a New Zealand native, spent the last two years with the San Antonio Spurs, where he averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 25 games last season. The Suns will be Marks' fifth NBA team, having previously played for Toronto, Miami and Seattle.

A forward-center with seven years in the league, Marks joins a lineup already flush with international players, including Canadian Steve Nash, Frenchman Boris Diaw, Brazilian Leandro Barbosa, Irishman Pat Burke and Raja Bell, a native of the Virgin Islands.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

Why can't you keep it? A Suns game won't go by without us yelling "FREE THE KIWI!"

Oh, and to refute the vicious rumor that Sean was pissed off at the Spurs:

    Excerpt from interview on Suns.com

Suns.com: What is it about the organization the impressed that you?

Marks: I just think they’re style of play on the court, how they get up and down. And the personnel they’ve got here, not only the players. Everyone from the coaching staff all the way down, I’ve heard good things. From my old (Spurs) team, too. “Pop” (Spurs Head Coach Greg Popovich) was telling me how great it was here. I left on good terms there and he said I’m going to have a good time here.

See, that sounds a lot more like Kiwi than a run-on sentence from an anonymous Suns board.
