    Ok...

Buckner could've played last night if needed. He's fine. Howard is obviously fine too...17 / 7 last night...

    I'm not following your point?

The Mavs are relatively healthy IMO...
Ya'll don't get it, my point is that, relatively healthy in March, going full speed, without proper pacing, translates to more serious forms of those "nagging" injuries when you have go notch it up later down the road. If you're already overplaying, you're asking for the same taxed bodies to assume a greater load. And if your team has had little experience "playing injured" during the playoffs but has to deal with them, well then that's where the difficulties arise. TDunc, Manu, Parker have played injured, during those past playoffs and championships. But they paced themselves accordingly, having also played for their international teams during the off time of the year.

I can still recall in the '05 run when TDunc had both ankles heavily taped while playing the Sonics and he got tangled up and then fell to the floor and
    stayed there for a while.
The crowd cheered. That was his motivation. He got up to answer the challenge as well as to put the game away. He knew how to play injured.

    Pacing.
Lets see what happens with it.

And I'll still keep my eye on your team's injury reports to see when what I said, will happen because of poor pacing.

This is just another example of someone pulling something out of their butts to discredit the Mavs. Poor pacing my ass. Take that one up with D'antoni and his 7 man rotation with the Suns.

no, If you posters AND Cuban take a dip in our river, then we'll have
to draw the tainted part out that you swam in and sell it to the only
place in Texas that will accept water of that quality, and that would be
    the Lake Ray Hubbard Reservoir!

Here we go again with that damn empty trophy case again. Seems to be their security net when nothing else works.

Nobody's saying anything about winning anything yet except regular season. Saying they're over pacing themselves is downright ridiculous!

Don't you mean "consider jumping in the Trinity before the San Antonio River?"
You can't swim in the Riverwalk, but that empty trophy case you brought up would make a nice canoe, you know, it being so roomy and all!

So the Spurs are pacing themselves and the Mavs are overplaying? Is that your what you're saying?

It's a long drawn-out way to try to justify that your team just isn't as good as it used to be...

When and where your team does it pacing and how judiciously, will determine the degree of it's success and longevity into the playoffs.

I've already posted earlier when and where we get going.

Funny through, I'll actually get pleasure watching yourselves reach for that many wins, what is it, 70?
And I'll enjoy looking for the wear and tear.
And watching the minutes of your players reach Suns-like proportions.

Nah, seriously, I enjoyed "jawin'" to borrow an old term with you people this afternoon!
I don't post often, I had to gather my meager 87 posts in one hand and jump into this stuff but I really did enjoy.

Wrong! The Mavs aren't concerned with anything but getting the #1 seed in the playoffs. There's no talk about reaching 70 wins except by the media. They're just going out and playing them one at a time.

Your talk about wear and tear on the Mavs is nothing more than attempt to exonerate the Spurs from being below the standard your accustomed to. The Mavs use their bench as effectively as anyone in the league. Barring a freak injury, they'll be fine in April.

Please, no freak injuries! Can you imagine the incessant Mavs/Spurs diatribe after the '07 OBrian is placed in our display case due to maybe DNow falling to injury or Stackhouse messing up his ankle or shoulder or somesuch?
Wouda, couda, yada, no, please if we get beaten this year I want it to be by a team that is 100% all there.
Which is why I keep one eye on injury reports.
If you ain't the ones that will find the way to beat us cause ya'll didn't slow down and Avery didn't stop screaming about manning-up,I 'll never stop the complaining, so talk to your team island dude and remind them that it isn't easy to not get rattled in the playoffs with 3 heavy behemoths batting down your franchise player!

Here's the "couple" of minor injuries report I guess you can call it that then:

The only bad news for the Mavericks came in the fourth quarter when Josh Howard sprained his right ankle. He finished with 20 points.

Howard was helped off the court with 6:11 to play after he took a jumper and landed on the foot of Atlanta's Joe Johnson. X-rays were negative and Howard made the trip to Minnesota where the Mavericks meet the Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Howard, who's been playing on a sore right ankle sustained under similar cir stances in a game last week against the Miami Heat, is listed as day-to-day.

"Hopefully he should be OK," Mavericks coach Avery Johnson said.
LMFAO!!!! Dang, JHO schooled you last night, he owned the first half and was bouncing around like a gazelle! Our boyz can roll with the rolled ankles.

JHO didn't never play no double seasons NBA-National Teams ever, he's a one league boy and so he better play on a rolled up ankle maybe play on two rolled ankles during playoffs it's been done before, TDunc did maybe he can teach JHO how to do that........
