The truth is that if someone is offering that kind of money for this site that means the moneymaking potential is huge...I wonder what those guys know.

Oh I'm fully aware that we could make a lot of money off the site - LJ is in the internet advertising business.

It's just that SpursTalk is not really a business for us. It's a fun side thing that we take part in everyday as we do our "regular" work.

whoever buys this site will be pissed off i think.. i think the reason many like this place is because you can say almost anything you want and there are no ads and other like that.. i think the day that pop ups and banner ads and censorship come into play, people would start leaving
