You can't help but smile when a Spurs fan hangs their hat on Vaughn or Elson as "Difference makers" against the Mavs.
He's got a point here. Career scrubs often do make a difference in the playoffs - a losing difference.
These guys are going to have to play the best basketball of their lives in order for us to make it to the promised land.
With "talent" like this, there's not a lot of margin for error.

Okay how about this for difference makers then? If Finley and Barry are outscored by Stackhouse and Harris by less than 5 points a game, I guarantee we'll win the series.

I think the coaches could care less, but the players want to beat each other, so therefore, I want SA to smack Dallas in the face.

He could've had 5 great games in a row and you still would've called him van suckage.

He played great in game 5, but doing the little things, things you rotissere geeks don't see.

    He sucked 70 games.

No injuries. That's all I want out of this game.

Now if it turns into a game of bench players I want our bench players to kick their ass.

Considering that the Mavs got 10 minutes of each game having a 5 on 4 advantage with Van Trash on the floor, just having Vaughn come in and run the offense, D up, and hit some 15 footers could tip the balance of a tight series.

Um, we're not eliminated from the 2 spot yet. Even if it isn't likely, we can still push PHO toi use their starters Monday night. With Dallas as the 1 seed and SA having arena commitments Saturday, it's likely that PHO will have to start their playoffs Saturday. No rest for the wicked.

According to Avery, everyone but Damp is playing for the Mavs today, but no one is playing more than 36 minutes. It sounds like Avery is at least going to expect a lot of energy & effort today after the crap they put on the court on Friday vs. Utah.

Maybe the game will be good afterall then. 36 minutes is kind of a lot. At least for Spurs players .

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It's what Avery told the beat writer for the Dallas Morning News though. I think Avery was really pissed off by the lack of effort on Friday.

Having _irk injured in '03 was the only thing that made it a series. _allas played much better without him.

    You're right. In game one.
Dirk played 3 games of that series, and averaged 25 pts and 11 rbs. Not bad.

In that same stretch Duncan averaged 35 pts and 18 rbs.

It really doesn't. If Phoenix had lost to Utah yesterday, it would matter a LOT to the SPurs. But now that we are locked on #3 seed. Pop will put in the weirdest lineups.

I am hoping for no injuries (knock on wood)
