I like the Bowen and Battier picks but I wonder why Ruben Patterson isn't at least an honorable mention. He can still lock people up when he wants to do so. In Milwaukee, Ruben really got up into Manu and messed his rhythm up...and for 3 or 4 games afterward.

He's a crazy cat but on the court, he's one of my favorite defenders. He's got similar qualities to Mario Elie except he's more relentless as a rebounder and stronger at taking his man down low on offense. He's still got some seasons left in him, too, at 31 years of age.

I agree. Ruben is a great defensive player. Just because he's a rapist doesn't mean he shouldn't get any love.

He's up there with all the other point guards in the league. He's arguably not the best, but calling him a joke is ridiculous. He at least deserves some consideration, even if he is a flopper.
Agreed. He's a huge flopper, but it gets him calls, which is good defense and helps win games. He was already a pretty good defender. The faces he makes when he gets whistled are funny, but I'd take his little ass on my team any day.

    MavFan.com is pretty hilarious.

Don't give the MavFan.com's here any ammo. They're pathetic.

Devin Harris is challenging the le as best defensive flopper in the league. The top four in no particular order are Harris, Derek Fisher, Raja Bell and Shane Battier. Of power forwards and centers, Reggie Evans tops the list as best flopper.
Well, when you play against Manu Ginobli 4+ times a season, some of his magic is bound to rub off on you.

I'd agree that Manu has noticeably curtailed his flopping of late. He still embellishes contact on the offensive end, but "when you play against Dirk Nowitzki 4+ times a season, some of his magic is bound to rub off on you."
