Welcome to the forum, Dalamar_the Dark. Nice post.
I agree. The more aggressive he is, the better he plays. When he's not aggressive, the defense can swallow him up.
Bowen's not doing those BS stuff because he doesnt have to now with this team. Last season, besides Manu who else could you rely on to score? Malik was off all season, Jason Hart wasnt a scorer though he brought heart, Devin was still young and too inconsistent and Kevin Willis was only going to help for some mins on some nights.
This year we have 3 legit 20 point scorers in the starting lineup so Bowen and Rasho dont need to do anything major but contribute the odd basket here and there and play solid defense.
We have Barry coming off who can light it up on some nights. If not Rose seems to be back, Devin can score in bunches like he did against the Lakers, Beno has been a surprise (Solid field % for rookie). There you have your eight man rotation.
If anything I want Beno to show more aggression. To lead more and not be afraid to turn the ball over by trying a pass here and there. That's how Manu learnt. I think Pop will go bonkers if he turned the ball over a little more but think it will help him (and the team) in the long run.

Agreed.I like how Bruce Bowen is playing lately. He took that BS 10-footer out of his repitoire and isn't doing too many of those pointless drives. He's sticking to corner threes and running the fast breaks.
Props to Bruce.
Dont think he is of starter material yet. In terms of defensive schemes, he tends to not be able to focus 100% of the time (ok ok Im asking too much). But one good game against Dirk doesnt mean he can take over Bruce and guard Kobe, T-Mac, Ray Allen, Stojakovic etc... he has to prove that he can guard all of them and not just have one good quarter.
At the moment I still like him off the bench cause he brings energy can change the pace of the game. And most importantly, at the moment, our first unit dont need so many scorers. I rather like the balance of our first unit this season. 2 penetrators (Park and Manu) Dominant post (Timmy) defensive stopper (Bruce) and solid defensive post presence (Rasho). Now thats what you call balance. And 3 of them can hit the trey.
"dalamar the dark"? are you some kind of porn star/wrestler?
On the Devin Brown question:
How common is it for guys like him to eind up on his hometown team? You know, winding up in the same NBA town that he went to HS and played collegiately in?
I've been trying to think of others, but am drawing a blank. BTW, the UPN-21 play-by-play guys in Dallas thought he was a stud.
I think it's pretty rare...it's not that rare for guys to play for a team in their home state...but to play for a team in the city they grew up? I can't think of it happening that often. Probably happens with the NY and LA teams more than the others.
A big reason this happened with Devin is because he wanted to play in SA, he had other offers IIRC.
If Devin will be willing to play for a partial MLE contract I am sure that the Spurs will be delighted to keep him...If he/they want more than that when it gets down to nut cutting time we will all have to get used to rooting for Devin in a different uniform...
Allen Iverson - Philly EDIT: I am WRONG!!!
Stephon Marbury - NY

I thought Iverson grew up in Virginia?
Iverson did grow up in Virginia.
But a good example is Lorenzen Wright. He was born in Memphis. Went to H.S. in Memphis. Went to college at Memphis. And plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.
That's even better than Devin because Devin was born in Salt Lake City.
Another good one is Juan Dixon.
Born in Baltimore, MD. HS - Baltimore. College - Maryland. NBA - Wizards.
Poor guy.![]()
