That's just like saying the only reason Popovich is a great coach is because he has Timmy, or like saying Red Auerbach is a great coach only because he had Bill Russell. So by your logic, Larry Brown must be a better coach than Pat Riley, because Brown won his championship without having one transcendent type of player.
Pop and Red would be the first to tell you the reason they won championships was because of their stars.
