Well we could bring Manu, Oberto and Scola off the bench. It would be almost like two starting lineups, Tim, Fin, Bowen, TP and Elson then the Argentine national team comes in.
Really I think many here are overrating this guy. is he any better than a 6'10" guy already on the roster - Ely?

You should believe this breaking news from SpursReport because it came from a very highly placed source, ME.

Christ, more waste of bandwidth than Suns trolls.
Manu will give him the technical speech and everything will be alright.
The spurs will win the le in 2008. The only way this couldn't happen is if they don't win it.
OWNED.
Eff Scola even if this isn't true. The Spurs' number 1 priority should be getting Acie Law IV here!

I was going to make a funny post.....but decided not to.![]()
Fire POP and bring Magnano here![]()
Well, looks like Scola "priced himself out."

ing losers.
Why do they waste time lying anymore? This is turning into their classic "the Spurs didn't play Derrick Dial because he's going to be their secret weapon in the playoffs" level lie. If they are going to make crap up, at least make it realistic or have some thought behind it.
Now Scola doesn't want to come to the NBA but he's going to magically appear on Portland or Seattle?![]()
Too funny![]()
Mark this down- especially all of you who never give credit to all the stories that you go spread elsewhere but heard here first.
The Spurs will likely add (not trade) Luis Scola this off-season.
This information comes from an insider and I for one am very excited!!!
Can you say Bleep-peat!?
More details when we can release them. We can't now.
Only way this does not happen is if Luis' agent prices him out of reach... Somehow.X 1000
Man, that was pathetic.
It's so strange. Like Bizarro world.
SpursReport and another one of their websites HornetsReport crack me up. They always claim to have insiders that know whats going on. The fact is that they're often just guys with a small understanding of the CBA that follow sites like Hoopshype and RealGM and see rumors and go off and use RealGM's trade checker to manifest an "insider trade rumor". Then they post it on a message board and watch these kids cream themselves over the prospect of the trade. When nothing ever happens they just say "well I guess it fell apart on the other end because our team wanted to make it happen". It gets freaking old.
Saying that the Spurs will try and sign Scola this offseason is like saying "the Spurs will definitely draft a foreigner with the 58th draft pick this season. I'm an insider, thats why I know these things. But I can't tell you who we'll draft." You don't need an insider for that, you need common sense. The Spurs always have late draft picks and they always take some guys whose name we can't pronounce nor have ever heard of. So stop acting like you're the because you can add 2 and 2.
Dumbass.
Well, that was the first time, and after that the last time, I've ever clicked over to Spursreport.
We been doing this for how long?
ST regs that remember, know not to get all buck until it's for sure. Cause this trick has been played already.
I trust whatever Pop is trying to do and so should eveyone else. He's what, brought home 4 championships right. Yeah, I trust Pop.
LMAO! They actually bleeped the word spurstalk!
I help run a Sonics/Hornets site for Oklahoma City-based fans and we always had serious compe ion (ie, trolls invasions) with HornetsReport.com
It got so bad that we set it up that whenever you typed "HornetsReport" instead is replaced it with "HitlerReport". We didn't want our people going to their site as it only increased the animosity as well as the number of gestapo-like methods of banning anybody that was anti-New Orleans or even the slightest bit Pro-Oklahoma City. Some people just can't buy a clue that when your city has the worst attendence of all NBA cities BEFORE Katrina that the owner might want to reconsider his options. It is a business afterall.
Anyways, I believe that HornetsReport and SpursReport have some sort of affiliation with one another (not sure what). I have never really been to the Spurs version, but my experience with HornetsReport is enough to keep me away. The way they masquerade around with their band of "insiders" that are completely full of and moderate their forum in the spirit of Orwell's 1984 keeps me far far away. I imagine that both sites are run similarly judging by what I've seen so far. No thanks.
It's Scola, so probably not. IFFFFFFFFFF he did come, that would be a huge addition.
spursreport is a joke.
get some real media passes fellaws
What good would he be if he cant play alongside Tim Duncan?
A team only really needs one low post scorer on the floor at any given time. Having a second player down low just congests things and makes it more difficult to operate. While we could obviously play the two together, we maximize their effectiveness when they are separated.
I like the idea of having a second low post scorer, but Scola seems a little too valuable and pricey to be relegated to a minor 15MPG role. I tend to like Butler better since his contract will be more reasonable and he is younger and could potentially have a longer career with the Spurs. I think either Scola or Butler has to go this offseason, and seeing as Scola is easier to trade than Butler (and likely has more value) I say we move him.
