Great list. Seems like we saw quite a few of the same bands. I missed Ozzy with Randy Rhoades.
Kenny Wayne Shepard put on one of a show with his grimacing face.

    WOW. Where to start...

    Robin Trower: Always incredible
The Doobie Brothers: You had to be partying at that one!
Benatar I saw a couple of times, once she was great, once she wasn't so great
    The Pretenders I always liked.

We were just talking about Golden Earring the other day. Did they ever have a hit besides "Radar Love"?

    Great list!

I've got to catch one of his shows. That is one I'll pay to see. I just can't get myself to dish out the big $$ these days. My wife got a ticket to Beyonce tonight and she told me the T-Shirts are $40!!! WTF is up with that!!?

I know things go up with inflation but damn.

Ever see Steve Vai? I caught him with DLR and White Snake. Amazing!

Was Michael Schenker still with UFO at this time?
If so, you are one lucky bas !
Did you happen to see Thin Lizzy during their heyday as well?
If the answer to that is yes, then I hate you with every fiber of my being!

Yeah, Michael Schenker was with them and I also caught him when he did Fiesta in the late 90's.
How could I forget Thin Lizzy!! 1978 with Gary Moore. Phil Lynott was wasted.

I saw Aerosmith lots in their early days.
A Roadie used to have to tie Steven Tyler's scarves to the michrophone stand so he wouldn't fall over! Talk about wasted. He used to forget lyrics and the audience would end up singing it for him!

    Good times.

311 in 2001 at houston was pretty tight

mookie and i blazed one of the phattest blunts i've ever rolled in the parking garage and everyone stared at us condescendingly

alien ant farm was opening, they were playing Smooth Criminal when mookie and I found ourselves in the arena

so many fans were going everywhere, and we were so disoriented and stoned that we actually walked right past the security guards into the pit (we had like 2nd level seats), when we realized what we had done we got as close as possible and started pits with 16 yr old neocon kids.

311 played a solid 3 hours and played virtually every good song they've ever written, it was before evolver etc, so they played a few From Chaos and all the rest was straight up old school.
I went to the Austin show on that tour. Wasn't Zebrahead on the bill too or maybe that was the year before? Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Other great ones for me are:
The original G3 Tour: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson
    The Pixies
    Black Crowes
    Korn
    Smashing Pumpkins
Norma Jean, Between the Buried and Me, and Misery Signals...on one bill
Bob Dylan at the Majestic Theater
    Metallica

    A whole other conversation...Who you didn't see.

I missed Van Halen with Roth, only saw them with Hagar.

Passed on the Stones one too many times and they are the biggest band I never saw.
    Did see Keith Richards though.

The vinyl thread was fun, so I thought we could do this.

I've got lots, a few to start:

Springsteen: Born In The USA and Tunnel Of Love Tours

Rod Stewart and Faces (with Ron Wood) 1974

    U2: Joshua Tree

Tom Petty: saw him dozens of times, all but one show were great

Aerosmith: saw them lots also, they usually put on a good show, the tour with Guns N Roses was great

Paul Simon: Graceland (what a great show that was)

Peter Frampton: Tour he recorded "Comes Alive" on

A few others that stand out: Neil Young, Elton John, Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman solo, Pink Floyd, Carlos Santana, The Eagles...

    Anyone got some?
Damn. I missed the Peter Frampton show.

The Boss rocks!! Best Show ever I'd say.

I've never seen the Stones 'cause by the time they came around where I wanted to see them the ticket prices were ridiculous and I didn't have the $$. Between 1975 and 1986 I caught about every act that came my way but I was really big into music back then especially when it came to guitar work.

Frampton was amazing. We had 4th row center seats, it felt like he was playing just to us.

Then the album came out and it was the exact show! It was cool.

I saw the Springsteen USA tour twice, the first time we stood on the chairs the entire show, even when he slowed it down. He played almost 4 hours. It remains one of my all time favorite shows.

Frampton Come Alive is one of my favorite albums. I can't even imagine what his shows were like. You are very fortunate indeed!!
Yeah, the Boss is in a league of his own.
John Mellencamp played for 3 hours when I saw him and the fact that he was playing in Indiana really made it great. One of the best shows ever.
