TO & Chad Johnson together would never work. I used to like Johnson but his behavior lately has really turned me off of him.

TO only gets disruptive when his team is losing. Ocho Cinco gets pissed when he doesn't get the ball. The year they won their division, Chad Johnson was constantly in screaming matches with Palmer during BLOWOUTS because he wasn't getting the ball.

Considering TO is a better WR, and Romo/Witten has alot more chemistry, there's no way in Chad Johnson would settle for being third fiddle. They could go 16-0 and he's be whining the entire year.

Seriously, trading 2 #1's & Barber is a of a lot smarter than trading for Chad Johnson.
There were enough balls to go around for Glenn and TO to both have 1000 yards, so I really dont think it would be a probem, especially since TO and Chad are friends.

yeah but that was at the expense of Witten. Is Romo really going to throw less to Witten just to appease Chad? I know Witten won't complain, but honestly I'd rather have Witten getting the ball than Chad Johnson.

Cowboys don't need another Star Receiver. They need a Hines Ward type who's would be happy being the second option. Then mix in a young playmaker like Desean Jackson, and I think they would be set.

Barbara Jenkins, Louisville, Ky.: Hearing we might trade Marion Barber for the first draft pick seems crazy to me. All season long when we needed a big play, who did the Cowboys count on? Marion Barber every time. I just don't see where the first-round draft pick for an inexperienced player costing us one of the best running backs in the league is logical. My take on Bill Parcells taking all our coaches is if he wanted to have a Cowboys team he shouldn't have left. Why give him any more?

Mickey: Good one. Now hopefully this is the last time I have to tell everyone to chill out on this subject of trading Marion Barber as part of a package to get the first pick in the draft from Miami. First of all, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just said there is no truth to that rumor. In fact, I'm told he screamed his "NO!" Secondly, the guy who first reported this, ESPN's Chris Mortensen, claims he said people in the Cowboys organization have kicked around what it would take to move up to the first pick in the draft and that it was he who suggested it would take Barber-and to move up that high. He claims he never said the Cowboys were considering trading Barber. Thirdly, would everyone just remember talk is cheap, and the more you guys talk about it, the more the Miami Dolphins get free pub on their willingness to trade the top pick. So if you feel obligated to help Bill Parcells out in Miami, just keep it up.

I'm not sure where you're leading. He would be a great second option with the Cowboys. Ward is good, but is far short of a premier receiver like TO. However, Hines has a great team at ude and would be a great 2nd receiver.

hold on to what we have and draft Felix Jones.
The first mock from cnnsi had Dallas drafting WR Mario Manningham (Michigan) and RB Felix Jones (the other guy from Arkansas). I could live with that, considering that Dallas' acknowledged pair of starting receivers are both closer to forty than thirty, and Crayton is . Pair Felix Jones with Barber, and your backfield is upgraded.

McFadden already has off the field issues. Granted, they're not of the calibur of a Mike Rozier, but you're talking betting the franchise on a guy who gets arrested in clubs mere months before the draft. Stupid.

Saw this rumor again posted today on yahoo and had me wishing for this off-season:
-Get Barber and Dallas's 2 first rd picks for the #1 overall..
-Then take a #1 and trade it to the bengals for Johnson..
-Then trade a 2nd rd pick for anderson (browns QB)...

Is this asking to much from a dolphins fan?

Mario may turn out to be a good one BUT, I don't trust Mich WR's lately (other than Braylon). They flop & fail in the NFL.

Would LOVE to have Jones still there or even work out some type of trade down for extra picks & p/u JCharles who did nothing but get better as the season went on. Awesome speed!

Didn't Mel have Leaf rated over Manning?

Someone did, I just can't remember who.

Dumb trade, but Jones may want to get that #1 pick for the publicity value and the Dolphins may have set the only price (Barber, 2 #1s) they'll accept from the Cowboys. So he's thinking...thinking...which is always dangerous with Jones. He sucks in the draft room when he is on his own. I'd suggest doing something with Roy Williams...he can blow you up with the spectacular hits, but can't cover anyone with quickness.

I really want Felix Jones or Rashad Mendenhall. getting McFadden. Don't be dumb Jerry. I do find it funny how all these trade proposals are coming from Miami but you hear nothing from the Dallas side.

I'm not sure about that, but Kiper insisted that Mike Williams would be a Hall Of Famer. Unless it's the Hall Of Fame for compe ive eating, that won't be happening.

Cowboys | Team unlikely to trade up for McFadden
    Mon, 18 Feb 2008 10:25:44 -0800

Mac Engel, of the Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys are unlikely to trade up for University of Arkansas RB Darren McFadden in the 2008 NFL Draft, according to NFL sources. The Cowboys believe they will not trade up because owner Jerry Jones does not want to be in the top 10 picks because of the cost.

Which is what I thought all along, no way Jerry wants to pay a rookie rb that kind of money.

^How many times do the Cowboys have to shoot down this rumor for it to finally go away

As many times as it takes.
