And I couldn't see a single one of them...and knowing NBA TV they won't show any of the either...

After 2 subpar outings by his standards good to see Timmy get back on track tonight with 29 pts 12 reb on 11-21 from the field. How about some of those highlight Dunks from Timmy??? Little flash from TD tonight.
And I couldn't see a single one of them...and knowing NBA TV they won't show any of the either...

ESPN News and Sportscenter will show a decent highlight package.
He was great tonight.
Two off games in a row is about as many as you get before he comes back strong.
Great game by Timmy tonight. He really dominated. Although he had struggled offensively the last couple of games his defense and rebounding are always solid.
I've never seen Tim Duncan score on Diop or Jamal Magloire
He was back to form tonight for sure. He to me looked determined to play a good game as he was frustrated by his last two outings.
Does anyone know why Duncan's left index finger was taped tonight?
No, maybe he sprained it slightly and it was just pre-cautionary. Sure didn't effect his performance, so i am not worried about it. One thing that is underrated about Timmy is his toughness. This is a man that played the 2006 season basically on one foot. He can play through almost anything and win.
Badass game by BIG TD tonight, seemed like they were getting away from him in the second half but he still put in work..... bout time Timmy has his own thread!!
Or in '05 when he played the Conference Finals and Finals on two sprained ankles.
No doubt he is a champion through and through, one of the best to ever lace em up.
Duncan's quotes from tonight:
http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/quotes_080304.html#Duncan
Tim Duncan
On the game - “Defensively we weren’t very good and our focus was a little down but in this month with as many games as we have, every win is a good win. We got over the hump even though we didn’t shoot the ball well and did just enough to win the game. We obviously have to play a little better with the upcoming teams we face. We are disappointed with the way we played tonight but we’ll take the win.”
On tonight’s play being affected by playing New Jersey back-to-back - “No, I think we got a little bit of a lead and just got too comfortable. Instead of pushing it to 20 and getting the game over with, they hang around that 10 to 8 point mark and made it too much of a game.”
On recovering from the 8 for 25 shooting over the two game road trip - “I wanted to play better, obviously. I’ve been passing up some shots the last two games and have not been playing well, or feeling comfortable on the court. I got a little bit of work in this morning so I felt like I got some of my consistency back.”
On being aggressive in the post - “There was a lot less double teaming so I knew I could get shots off in there. In the last two games I actually got shots in the post but they were bad attempts and I didn’t finish them. I wanted to get better attempts, get some air under the ball and give myself a chance to make some shots.”
His interview is in the post game video:

And he's the winning wallpaper of the game:

Oh yeah that's what it's all about right there.![]()
Spurs.com wallpapers page:

They have one for each player, a retired jersey section, and the winning wallpapers for this season.
This thread is going to be a place I spend a lot of time.
It's nice to have a spot just for Duncan.
Timmy was just awesome tonight. I knew he would come back after those two underpar games. It's so good to see him playing like this again this year .
Hey that is why i started it. All Timmy all the time in here. Whatever anyone has, Pics, favorite TD memories, game to game evaluation whatever. He deserves his own thread, it is long overdue.![]()
One last quote, from Pop:
On Tim Duncan’s performance tonight - “Well if Tim Duncan didn’t play the way he played tonight a whole lot of people would have wasted a whole lot of money tonight. He was special and he got it done for us.”
I'm glad you did it.
We won't get me started on pics, we don't want to blow up Kori's server!
Duncan does deserve his own thread, if I had my wish he'd have his own forum.
Just out of curiousity, am I the only woman in here?
Yes and as usual Tim's reaction to that was one of total modesty. I guess if he had talked trash about himself it might have made Sportscenter tonight, right in between Bret Favre's retirement and the eternal Kobe ASS KISSING!!!!
me too!![]()
We should keep this thread going forever in honor of the greatest player in Spurs history.
