Being a Mavs fan is nothing but nonstop punches to the groin.

If I ever have children in this cruel world, I just might encourage them to be Spurs fans. For their own good. So that they can enjoy all the things I never got to enjoy.
All those punches to the groin might prevent you from even having kids. Just think, you might have to watch some dude your just to have kids and it's all Avery's fault.

blame cuban, it was not avery who force cuban to trade for jason kidd! Cuban forced the issue, avery didnt like it, but cuban was a dictator so he had to play along, now the mavs paid the priced of having an aging point guard who will sacrifice defensive duty just to grab the extra boards.

We sacrificed a lot more than just defense with that trade. Shooting, slashing, scoring, speed, youth, upside, etc.

    this is amazing...

but seriously...even with Dirk... you probably lose this game... its not lke you should have expected to win this game...

Denver is one of the best home teams in the league .. any team would likely lose this game.

Don't forget shotblocking. Diop was a beast as a backup and was underutilized thanks Avery. Diop was always a solid backup that never got the minutes he deserved. I don't care about the fouls and his offense. He was a live body that caused problems to other teams looking for easy points.

It's not necessarily that. Just being in this position to begin with.

You couldn't be any more wrong. You think it was Kidd's fault they lost tonight? The loss wasn't on any of the players. It was on Avery and his bull , predictable offense, his questionable lineup changes and his ever-falling IQ as an NBA head coach. Real nice of Avery to rack up that T when his team is down 1. Real smart coach. Next thing you know, Nuggets are up 8 and continue to roll from there.

The turmoil has nothing to do with Kidd or any of the players. They're just doing what they're told. This is all on the coach.

I've heard things. Nothing definitive, though. If it does happen, it's going to be some weak-ass, mutual stepdown, not the harsh "YOU'RE A ING ! YOU HAVE TWO MINUTES TO GET THE OUT OF MY ING OFFICE!!!" firing we all hope to see.

The weird thing is that from the moment he took over to up until 5 minutes left in G3 against Miami, he could do no wrong, or so it seems. Making them focus on defense, getting the most out of mismatches with Dirk, Devin and Josh against the Spurs in that series, neutralizing Boris Diaw with Diop in the conference finals, and since then, it just seems like he can't do anything right. Even having them go all out last year in the regular season was bad, because they peaked and played their best basketball in Feb/March.

I hope Avery is fired and this team gets blown up at this point. Every team that considers themselves contenders has a reliable second person they can count on. Examples are Houston T-mac and Yao, Denver- Melo and A.I, New Orleans- Chris Paul and David West, LA- Kobe and Bynum or Kobe and Gasol. Here in Dallas its Dirk Nowitzki and the low b-ball iq, dumbass Josh Howard. The sad part is that when the mavs lose people say "Look at all the talent around Dirk!!". "Dirk is such a choker he can't even lead that talented team to a championship!" This team needs to be blown up and I don't mind if Dirk is traded to cleveland or somewhere I just want Dirk to succeed. Mark Cuban and Avery Johnson.

that photo is a great picture showing the basis of their season:

    1. Cuban
    2. Kidd
    3. Terry looking like a crybaby
    4. Dirk is not in the equation

That and hearing "With the 14th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks select Kevin Love...." is pretty much the only thing to look forward to.

    the Suns!
