The Spurs first priority is to their own success. They need to keep their own momentum going. the Mavs. They'll have do enough damage to their own playoff hopes in their next 3-5 games.
Me too. At the hands of the Spurs. Shut that bunch up forever. Love to see the Spurs take them 4 - 0 in first round.

It would suck if we lost and allowed GS to get the 8th seed and then they get hot and do to us what they did to the mavericks last year.
Losing on purpose is a very dangerous game. the west is too tight to calculate seeding/opponents that soon in the season.
However, if Spurs lose tonight, the fact that it also hurts Dallas will sweeten the loss.
losing on purpose, that is the way of the choking Mavs.

Any questions?
Oh, and Duncan didn't play in one of those losses...
Well, after tonight's game, I'm not too worried about GS...![]()
You're 1 & 2 and you're proud? Ok.......![]()
Wow, Injury card already? I wonder if you can reuse it again in the PlayoffsOh, and Duncan didn't play in one of those losses...![]()

WHY
OH IS IT BECAUSE SCOLA IS NOT A SPUR![]()

This thread is a testament to idiotic thinking.
The team is just hitting its straps and you want to tank a game?
Also, no way the mavs beat us in the playoffs this year. They are done and will need to rebuild this offseason.
Well, we were discussing playoff matchups, and if Duncan is out, God forbid, that's a moot point not even worth discussing. With Duncan: 1-1. A close one in Oak and a blowout here.
I'll take GS anyday as a playoff matchup. They're weak in the middle on defense. When they overplay Duncan, Parker and Ginobili slice them up. We're probably the only team in the NBA that can blow them out on a regular basis. Yes, we did it on their floor in late March last year when they were on their playoff tear. Thirty seven points.
Oh, and Duncan never peeled off the sweats in the fourth quarter tonight. The scrubs brought it home and increased the margin.
I believe spurs win out
An interesting thing that was brought up: if the Spurs win 57 games this year, that's 8 years in a row with at least that many wins, a feat never before accomplished in NBA history. We can only lose two more and do that, though.
Dallas just upgraded Dirk's injury to day-to-day today
DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks upgraded the injury status of Dirk Nowitzki to day to day on Tuesday, the eve of a pivotal NBA Western Conference game against the Golden State Warriors.
The reigning MVP, who has been out since spraining his left ankle and knee on March 23, would be re-evaluated on Wednesday to see if he can play against the Warriors.
The Mavericks began Tuesday a half-game ahead of Golden State for the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. The Warriors played San Antonio late Tuesday.
Nowitzki landed awkwardly on his left leg after running to block a shot in a loss to San Antonio. He was diagnosed with a moderate high ankle sprain and a mildly sprained knee. The Mavericks are 2-2 since he was sidelined.

does that mean he'd be in uniform sooner than we expected?
The SPURS are the most boring team in the entire league..
yes, the most boring team...!! tim sucks..
That'd be cool if it came down to the Spurs last game and both teams (utah) were trying to tank it.
It's an old thread that's been bumped, the Dallas article is from 4-1.
