    Don't lie.

What were you laughing at in this post?
Who is being censored? I know there is a conspiracy theory going around that it's way more widespread than people think but antibody testing seems to indicate nowhere is anywhere close to even lower bounds for what herd immunity infection rates could be. We do know it has killed 1 1/3 Vietnam War's worth of Americans in about a month and a half. Of course we're not going to keep it from running its course because our government's stance is just let it unlike nations like South Korea that took it seriously from the start. I don't know how you can believe the virus has run its course through Texas. What exactly makes us special vs New York / Detroit / New Orelans / Chicago that we get the virus and nothing happens to almost anybody while it ravages their populations?

    I've got two anecdotes:

    1) I went to 54th Street for pickup and the place was packed. Drove around back to check out the patio dining and every table was taken. No customers wearing masks. Pretty clear a large number are pushing past the 25% limit.

2)I have a cousin and her family (out of state) that came down with covid this week. She and husband are in early 40s, no underlying conditions. Husband started turning purple from lack of oxygen, rushed to hospital and is currently on ventilator. She has developed pneumonia but just got released from hospital. Three kids have it but just complaining of flu symptoms.

She said they never went out except to store. Turns out they had a few visits from asshole mother in law who KNEW she was infected but didn't tell them because she was apparently asymptomatic and they assumed she was fine. Now her son is on a ing ventilator.

Anecdotal point being that next to nobody is taking this serious enough.

Seriously though, I think there are enough Darrins, SnakeBoys, derps, tholdrens along with our FB friends reposting Plandemic out there to ensure a massive second wave. The only question is how many backflips they will do to keep Trump from having any responsibility whatsoever.

That sucks about your family. My sister has gone backdoor QAnon since this started but at least is isolating at this point. I'm sure members of my extended family are worse.

Man, that's crazy. A lot of outliers here. ^

Older, mother-in-law is asymptomatic, but somehow knew she was infected.

Healthy man in his early 40's on a ventilator.

    Kids actually have symptoms.

    Weird

Literally none of that is weird. These are things we've seen happen and can reasonably assume would increase after opening.

better yet, who conducts the test, is the test sent to CDC or can any lab analyze and determine? How do they determine that antibodies are to the exact uniqueness of this Coronavirus strain?

The mother in law got tested, I'm guessing originally had symptoms that concerned her, knew about it but didn't say anything according to her. I think she "looked" asymptotic to them. I dunno.

There's probably more details that would make the dots connect better, but I'm not gonna beg a stuffed up miserable person with pneumonia to please clarify better so that I can make sense of it all.
I had just broken off a quick phone call to check on her, see if there's anything I could do.

I never heard kids were supposed to be asymptomatic at a high rate. Just that they didn't often develop the pneumonia from an immune system over response, and hence the very low mortality rates for them.

I believe in Texas you have to have symptoms. One of the biggest complaints is that we don’t have enough tests to give to asymptomatic people.

i don’t doubt the veracity of the situation, but I suspect there are a few facts that Blake doesn’t have.

We had a family member go on the ventilator and was in the ICU for 3 weeks. She is getting out of the hospital next week fingers crossed. This is serious and people should be taking better precautions than they are.

that had to be terrifying being in the ICU for 3 weeks with only her thoughts to accompany her. Glad to hear it sounds she is recovering.
