Sounds like mav fan back when they played Miami in the finals.
Man, I gotta say, I really appreciate you saving me the time I would have spent actually watching the rest of the season and the playoffs. Now that I know that the Mavs won't make the conference finals (thanks to your surely infallible prognosticating abilities), I can focus that time elsewhere. Maybe I'll start watching the Premiere League....
Sounds like mav fan back when they played Miami in the finals.
They were hard earned points though.
The defense really made them work for it and took the rest of the guys out of the equation.
Yes, and instead of using his veteran knowhow to take advantage of an overaggressive young big man, Tim Duncan spent the majority of the game crying to the refs to bail him out.
Shut up and ball his ass, Duncan.
"They were gassed in the end'
They'll be tired again Monday night.
Fatboy Davis was sucking a lot of air. He seems not very fit, as befits his 40 or 50 pounds overweight.
the celtics wanted it more. the only one with passion out there was manu. the spurs were beaten to spots and outjumped for rebounds, couldn't handle passes (especially oberto), missed open looks, and were forced into taking bad shots. i hope they turn it around. if we cant score, we should at least play good defense. we haven't shown we can do either consistently. injuries are a factor, but even since tim has been back, our defense hasn't been great.
The Spurs lost this game at the end of the first half, when they went 0 for 8 on their last 8 possessions. They had a lead and a chance to put the Celtics away right there, but let it slip away. Not to take anything away from the Celtics, though...right now, they have the BEST team of pure shooters in the NBA...they are ing GOOD...if you think otherwise, you're fooling yourself.
I'm actually surprised the score was as close as it was...with a few exceptions, the Spurs shooting and decision making was horrible today.
If the Spurs have TP back for the game on St. Patrick's day, the outcome will be much different...with a healthy Parker, the Spurs win today by 8-10 points easily.
You're welcome!
Unless you can provide me with evidence that one of your players is going to step up in the clutch?
Oh.... you don't have any.... nevermind.
That aggressive Celtic defense? BS. A fat ass rookie is allowed to bump and grind in the block on Duncan all afternoon? Davis is allowed to set screens for Allen by grabbing JV's arm?
Boston played a lot of defense with their hands and were not whistled for it. Six or eight free throws between Duncan and Ginobili is a joke.
BTW, Lousiana fat ass was not fouled by Ginobili with 1:20 in the 4th. Yet, this guy is treated like a ten year vet.
Our guys played with some guts and almost overcame the obstacles put in front of them.
Stoudamire will help this team as he gets accustomed to the other guys. With a hopefully healthy Parker after the ASB, SA should be able to get rolling.
I'm surprised Tim didn't blow up and get tossed with the crap he had to put up with today.
LOL so according to everyone here Tony Parker is more of a defensive anchor than Kevin Garnett.
I'll give you that he is a pivotal cog for their offense, but KG impacts the game more overall when you take offense/defense into account.
So is it just one of you signing on to multiple usernames posting the same trite bull over and over, or is it more of a thing where you guys get together and plan out your 2 or 3 nonsensical responses and share them amongst each other as needed?
Just wondering.
Exactly! That's why this loss isn't as upsetting to me. But man, this was a painful game to watch - it looked like Roller Derby Basketball!![]()
But something I don't understand - when the team is getting out rebounded so badly, why does Pop go with small ball?
If Pop would just play two bigs...I don't know why the he seems to think small ball works for this team when every ing time he goes small for extended minutes WE LOSE! We actually might have won this game had we gotten rebounds late in the game-but no, Pop goes small. Having a second of big could have been handy against Davis in the paint, who got two layups in the last couple of minutes-but no, Pop goes small. Poor coaching decision on his part.
I hated that fat ass Davis going one on one on Duncan. He reminds me of those token fat cartoon characters.
Agreed. Parker is vital to the Spurs but KG is also huge for us on both sides of the ball. BTW I just heard Bynum could be back in 3-4 more weeks at full strength. Is that true?
Truth hurts doesn't it!
What I don't get is how you get so butt hurt over the thats posted here, yet you still come back to read it!
Nice to know that spurs fans get the best of you though!![]()
There are rules in this game. Grabbing is not allowed.
This was decided before.
At any rate I liked the effort.
If I could provide you with "evidence" of future events yet to occur, then I probably wouldn't be wasting my time watching basketball (except maybe in a gambling sense). I'd be on Wall Street.
Sounds like that's what you should be doing, though. You could be a billionaire by now!
Yes, obviously the only move in Tim Duncan's arsenal is the turn and fadeaway shot.
I've never seen him use an up and under move, pump fake, spin move, go glass from the angle etc.
Stupid me, carry on. Davis got physical and Duncan turned to Danny Crawford for help. Lame.
Who cares we suck!
i say we trade all our crappy big men for 1 competent one. i mean, oberto can't even catch ginobili's passes!
Where are the Spurs big's
I hope this is the game where the Spurs leave (their piece of -early-season-form) in Boston.
