The past dictates the present. Defense wins championships.
I'm sure that's why none of you Mavs fans have realized your team is completely flawed. Do you even really have confidence in their ability to get out of the WC?
no loller, parker can actually handle the ball without turning it over, penetrate, spread the offense, and score points. Defense he's a wash at best but he runs the Spurs offense, dummy. It all goes through him.

The spurs did not attack the basket.
Bad loss for the Spurs. Boston was missing both KG and Kendrick Perkins. It has to be disheartening to be out-worked inside when the opponents' top two inside threats are out.
Same thing I ask my self every time I see you get your panties in bunch when you're here. Yet you continue to read the things that you know you wont like.
Did anyone notice that Damon Stoudamire shot all of the last shots at the end of every quarter.... and missed ALL 4?
Just thought I'd throw it out there lol
Please refrain from displaying your jingoism and ignorance of historical fact. It was the Soviet Union which defeated the Germans on the Eastern Front in WWII, not the United States.
Spurs missing both TP and Barry. Your point?
Oh sweet jesus. You can't be serious. The past dictates the present? That's solid. Really solid stuff. Perhaps a username change to "Confucius Havoc" is in order.
Thumbs up to AHF. He hit it right on the head. 75% of SA's running game is tied to number 9. We become the 2000 Spurs (Walk it up - Grind it out) without him.
Thank goodness Boston (namely Red Auerbach - AKA Dr. Evil) did not have the stones to draft Tony Parker with the 22nd pick in 2001. They picked some stiff from North Carolina instead.
KG + Perkins >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TP + Barry
Duncan and Ginobili both scored over 20.no Spur got 20 pts.

Come on now. It was not that bad. The announcers said the game was evenly called. I saw that the refs let some contact go but nothing that blatent.
The Celtics out hussled the spurs to more loose balls and looked to play with more desire.
I can do that to!
TP + Barry >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>KG + Perkins
I hope our attempts to repeat, are parallel to the 80's Lakers attempts to repeat
87,88
07, ???
I hope we have enough good karma for the basketball gods...(collected from all those bad foul calls)
@ the announcers drop
yeah cause they will say if a game is one sided.
God shut up already.
There is no excuse for a championship team like SAS to lose to the Celtics minus KG and Perkins, their two best defensive players. This was a poor loss on National TV.
According to T Park the allies were just the Americans.
LMAO at people saying Tony Parker is as valuable to the Spurs as Garnett is to the Celtics!
So now the Spurs fans are complaining about the refs? You guys sound like PHX fans now.
I hope you're right and not him, because I really want to repeat![]()
Yes from what I saw the spurs did not draw half as many fouls because they were not aggressive in attacking the basket.
The national tv championship wasn't the Spurs to lose to begin with anyways!![]()
The Celtics, before we got Gasol, were a better team than we were at the time. I have no problems admitting that.
You couldn't beat the Celts minus their defensive anchors. If KG was there it would have been a blowout.
Bingo.
Although Duncan could have had more than 4 foul shots.
Also I saw a couple And-1's the refs passed up on Duncan and Manu.
We still would have had not an even amount. Boston came out really hungry and were outplaying the Spurs for 48 minutes.
