He still makes a difference, but yeah, it's like saying Tim Duncan = Ray Allen

Still, i don't think we can use Parker as an excuse we were right there with Boston, and lost because we had no bigs playing that well today. All we had was Oberto.

If Horry or Oberto was in the game in the 4th quarter we would have had those damn rebounds possibly.

Garnett and Parker being out still negates the excuse of not having either teams at full strength, because they're both important pieces.

Tony Parker is not more valuable to the Spurs than KG is to the Celtics. To even insinuate that is ridiculous.

Is Tony Parker a HOF player? No. Is Tony Parker a defensive anchor? No. I will agree that on offense he might mean more to the Spurs than KG does to the Celts, but on defense it is not even close. Defense wins championships.

Really..he took strong a lot and got fouled but there was a no call. Somehow Davis got like 4 steals on Duncan too..and if you don't think Duncan got fouled on any of those entry passes you weren't watching the game.
Where did I ever said he wasn't getting fouled? People get fouled in the post all the time, from HS right on up through the NBA.

The difference is how you respond. And whenever Tim responds by turning to the refs for help instead of getting pissed and doing something about it, like today happens.

Davis got steals because Duncan seemed to think he needed to take the guy off the dribble and Duncan's turnovers always go up when he puts the ball on the floor. That's scouting Tim Duncan 101.

Who gives a what you think. Aren't you the same guy who said team chemistry doesn't mean ? I think its funny that you continue to type thinking some one actually takes you serious. Its cute...

The Celtics, before we got Gasol, were a better team than we were at the time. I have no problems admitting that.

You couldn't beat the Celts minus their defensive anchors. If KG was there it would have been a blowout.
I know you are trying hard to be a good troll, but honestly - you are a Lakers fan talking about a Celtics win over the Spurs in the regular season.

FYI for those tearing apart Duncan's game.

    Duncan had 3 turnovers.

To go with 22 points on 50% shooting
    6 offensive boards, 14 total
    6 assists
    2 blocks
    1 steal
    2-4 FT

Nobody stepped up other than Duncan, Ginobli, and Finley. Duncan forced some things, Ginobli with some dumb turnovers, and Finley missing some key rebounds but overall they kept us within striking.

If this wasn't a prime example that we need some big men then I don't know what is.

Yeah if you're going to troll, you should at least have a little bit of knowledge of the game. Because then you end up looking like dazed and confused. Stupid...

Or that elusive athletic and LONG SF who could allow us to play Small ball on those last possessions.

Both teams were missing key players so dont even bring up the spurs missing Parker.

Duncan should of had 40 points today. They should have feed him the ball all game long.

I actually don't think Duncan let the refs get to him this game at all...he was relatively calm for the most part. The game was lost with the Spurs inability to rebound, play a decent big when Duncan went out, and Ginobili's bad passes/TO's.

It's hard to attack when the other team keeps reaching in and you get no calls.

    Bruce Bowen say o.

I hear everyone saying it's only the regular season and the usual spin, just curious if missing the playoffs has crept into SpursFan's head yet. Yay? Nay?

Aren't they under .500 in the last 25-30 games?

Not worried about the loss. This was the championship for the Celtics. In June we'll beat them 4-1.

They did not. There were too many wild perimeter shots.

You've got to realize AHF is just pre-empting any criticism for Manu and his six turnovers.
