No. You insulted me, because I respect him. He no messiah, but he's more righteous than most.

Granted, President Bush has quite a few unfortunate qualities about him. He still has traits to be admired and respected. Nobody's perfect.

You show your ignorance by repeating the lies from the left rather than criticizing him on issues he deserves to be hit on.
    Bush righteous?

You don't think he would be if there was really any evidence?

There is nothing but propaganda and lies from the left to support such ideas. If there were really a case, he would be indicted!

He would be indicted, if the corporate M$M didn't have so much invested in keeping him around...

People who support Bush must not have friends or family in Iraq...
It would seem most people speak in generalities and it creates huge problems for their argument.

I can only speak from my (very) limited experience with current/former young men who have served in Iraq/Afghanistan.

No bull , Im not lying, I met another young man this weekend (at a party) who just came back from his third tour in Iraq. He ing loves it.

Also, the 3 others that I have met, all ing love it.

I use the profanity to try to convey how.....serious I am. They made no bones about a) why they joined the military, b) what they expected and c) what their opinion of it was.

Dont get me wrong, they enjoyed coming home for the R&R, seeing family and so on. But even this 24 year old 3 days ago was already looking forward to going back.

Its plain and simple to me now, although I would have guessed wrong say 2 years ago. A very, very small minority of enlisted soldiers signed up to the armed forces for the paycheck and the free education, not to fight.

The vast, VAST majority of the enlisted armed forces signed up to kill people, to fight victorious wars and to protect their brothers and sisters on the field. Hands down, cant explain any better than that.

I have met 4 (small sample, I know) Iraq/Afghanistan vets in the past 1.5 years. Thats 4 for 4 that selected option A "I kick ass and chew bubble gum....and Im all out of bubble gum".

Moreover, they dont give a what we think. Or the media, or any other dip source of ing information. They want this, they love this, they dont want it to end (im speaking about the 4 individuals Ive met, no one else).

Its just weird to me that, honestly, all 4 were of the exact same mind. Exactly the same mind. No deviations.

It opened my eyes a bit. It doesnt make me think any differently about the reasons for going to war or if we should be there in the first place (the military does not run the country's foreign policy for a reason, duhh....). But it does make me feel better about the "boots on the ground" and where their minds are at, as best as I can tell from the small handful of people Ive met.

As an Army veteran of 11 years, I completely understand this. They are rather unique people, aren't they? I suspect they have earned your respect as well, even if you don't agree with their at udes completely.

What more can one ask for a volunteer military? Would people drafted have the same heart?

Absolutely. I judge not. Beyond the few minutes I spent talking to them about it (they brought it up every time), the only other time I brought it up was to shake their hand.

Could never ask for more. These dudes were young, smart and in tip-top shape. Limited drinking, no smoking, no drugs, no hangups. Just real calm, cool and collected.

Also, no, a drafted army would be nothing near what we have now. Involuntary service is a far cry from voluntary.

Again, it doesnt change my opinion about the over-arching aspects of the War on Terror/Iraqi Liberation issues. It just soothes my mind in some (stupid) way that at least the people in the line of fire are very proud and very motivated (generally speaking).

Thats from mind conditioning that the military does on them. It starts with basic training.

if anyone steps out of line they will be punished in one way or another so you learn early on during basic training to just go with the program and its best not to question anything and let the guys in charge do all the thinking for you. That is what is desired and what is best if you want to survive in the military.

I see you have a biased perception.

Basic training was much easier than I thought it would be. I already loved my country and was proud to see president Reagan elected just befor I joined. Nobody needed to condition me. What you describe is a learning tool to follow orders. Not to 'condition the mind' which I read as brain washing by the way you said it. The military wants soldiers who not only follow orders, but can think on their feet.

Do you often speak of things you don't understand? Maybe you were like one of the several wash-outs I say during basic training?

Will you please tell me where I implied that? Besides, I'm not a farmer. The posts I used the word Kharma didn't imply soldiers were killed because of it, so if I'm wrong, please show me.
