I rather have heat than cold. You can always put on shorts and a hat and drink water to stay cool, but no matter how many coats and pairs of underwear you put on, eventually you'll get cold.

Moving here after living in Virginia and Ohio....My dad has always said....."you can't shovel heat".....god I hate snow, cold weather.

I have lived in the Leon Valley area since 1980....I can remember when Grissom and Culebra Rds. were basically 2-lane country roads, and Tezel was practically a dirt road.

I love San Antonio...it is a big city...but it is a small city at heart.

    S y,

I live in Dallas, but my corporate office is in Orange County (Costa Mesa). SA is nothing like OC whatsoever traffic-wise. I was out there last week when it was raining and you should have seen the 405 going both ways. Having said that, you can't be Southern California weather 99% of the time. I would move out there in a heartbeat (as long as my company wanted to give me a 100% raise to make up for the cost of living differences).

I didn't say it was like that now. I said SA when I first moved here in 1997 is like OC when I moved there in 1982. OC in the 80s had no traffic and there were still orange groves in Irvine along the 5. I know SA will never be like OC...it doesn't have the commutes like CA does, but the traffic has gotten worse since I move here.

My parents live in OC so I'm back there every year and am amazed how much is changes each time and much worse the traffic is.

I used to commute from San Juan Capistrano to Corona for years--100 miles round trip. I put 75,000 miles on my car in 2 years. Ugh..
