Sure, James has taken the Cavs nowhere, ever. Kobe could do that.
he turned the team into playoff contenders, got to the the finals, turned mike brown into coach of the year etc...

Doesn't matter what the team they are on.
How would Kobe have fared if he'd come to Cleveland in 2003 instead of L.A. in 1996?

    That's the question.

I didn't ask "How would LeBron have done had he come to Los Angeles in 1996?"

I think we should know the answer to that one.

Only if LeBron would have had a better team and thought twice before he did some things, then he would had atleast 1 championship ring for sure..

all the stats prove LeBron is better except for that Kobe has 4 rings & Lebron has 0.
So basically Kobe has an a huge lead in the most important stat...

you wanna know what these numbers tell me? They tell me that statistics dont show even half the impact on games that any player has. They also show that miamiheat doesnt know basketball.

Yeah, unlike Kobe, who just carried Shaq to 3 rings and got the 2009 championship without a stacked team

    poor lebron

    Reason #1

Kobe's 40, 8 and 8 were good enough to beat Orlando, but LeBron's 49, 6 and 8, nor his 44, 12 and 7 performance were good enough to beat Orlando. That tells me one thing: Kobe's team is way better than LeBron's. If Kobe can have a night like that and blow out the Magic by 25, then why wouldn't a similar night result in at least a win for LeBron? It just goes to show you what type of talent the two have playing around them. That's why LeBron's accomplishments with this team are amazing, and it is also why the "Kobe made the Finals" argument doesn't win the debate for Mr. Bryant.

Get real. Horry was a role player not one of the top two players on a championship team.

Comparisons are for great players only:

    Kobe Shaq
    Jordan Pippen
    Magic Kareem
    Bird McHale

    etc.

Bottom line is Lebron's career will never favorably match up with Kobe's until he wins multiple rings. It's no different than KG and Tim. When KG wins multiple rings then people can start comparing him to Tim. Same thing with Lebron and Kobe.

Since when did GM moves became a determining factor on who's the best player in the NBA? Is it Kobe's fault that the Lakers went out and got all those pieces? Or are we giving Cavs management a pass and give LeBron a pat on the back because they've given him less talent to work with?

notice how the facts owned these laker fans.

Facts are facts - LeBron owns Kobe in almost every single statistical category and is dead even in others.

KG has been a stat freak his whole career too. Yet who is better? KG or Duncan?

Kobe is more skilled than Lebron, but I still think Lebron has a greater impact on basketball games. It's all about perception really... after the Cheat were gifted a le by the refs a poll on ESPN if I recall correctly had D-Whistle leading as the best player in the NBA... and Kobe/Lebron were on mediocre teams at the time.

Now Kobe is coming off of a championship, and the Lakers still look like the best team in the NBA... I don't think the Kobe v Lebron debate is that legitimate, Lebron to me clearly has a greater impact on basketball games, the only reason it is such a debate is because of Kobe having a great team around him at this point in time.

If you give D-Whistle Kobe's supporting cast we're probably having a D-Whistle v Lebron debate with Kobe considered the 3rd best player in the league... everyones perceptions are skewed by how good a players' team is at a given point.

so what happens when Lebron has another HoF around him when he wins championships? Are we going to say he isnt that good cuz he had a great team, but Cp3 is better cuz he doesnt?
