If they added key acquisitions, then maybe. They wouldn't have the size for Duncan or Shaq, though.
Nobody could guard Shaq in early 00's anyway so it wouldn't matter. Rememba det time Mutombo got DPOY then got destroyed in the Finals?

You keep making it sound like health is the only thing that will prevent the Celtics from winning it all.
Why not? Pierce, Allen, and KG are all in thier mid 30s. Thats arguably you top 3 players. Very smilar to the Spurs big 3 IMO as far as age goes.

Shame on any and all that wish a player on another team injured. If Spurs win a le, and they have the potential to do just that, I want it going through the playoffs facing other contending teams at full strength.

KG is my favorite non-Spur player, so I absolutely hate hearing about this, but it doesn't really sound like it's that bad..hopefully that will be the case..

However, like I've been saying for months, I would be shocked if the Celtics were healthy in May..
Have to give you props here ...you have been wrong on some stuff. But that call and the turn-around by the heat you have been correct about.

the thing that would bother me if I was a Celts fans is the fact that even the younger players like Delonte and Rondo have been bit by the injury bug. It's tough to see them maintaining their favorite status (which I would say they have been along with the spurs so far this season) if injuries keep cropping up like this.

The Spurs by comparison have had the SAME starting lineup all season ...if that luck holds up, bodes well for the Spurs chances ata Finals run ...

Karma is a KG. Ironic that he is back in the Palace where he talked to CV and he happens to re-injure his knee
could it be cancer in the knee?

As much as I personally can not stand KG, I likewise can not stand fans who celebrate over the injury to any player.

I'm actually pretty impressed by Timmy's durability over the years.
That 2' vertical of Tim's doesn't hurt his knees much on the landing.

Same story for last few years for Boston. Start off with a really good record like 25-5 & then slow down with minor injuries. Pretty soon they'll start to get blown out by the Nets at home & just give the big 3 limited minutes for the last 15-20 games. Even Rondo has been looking fragile this year.

too bad he does not have calf tats. Word on the street is, calf tats would have given him that extra skin protection that would have protected him from such injury.

plus, who knows who the Celtics could have recruited? Top teams always attract the best role players.

a prime KG with PP and Antoine woulda been deadly. Prime Garnett was a one man army..... complete game. Defense, rebounding, hustle, offensive scoring, jumpshot, low post...

heck, in 2006, Antoine past his prime was still a huge part of the Heat. he was a double double machine who could hit timely 3's.....

you could say Garnett had a better team around him in Minnesota than he would have with Pierce and ...... lol .... Antoine Walker. If Sam Cassell had been healthy in 2004, I doubt the Lakers would have gotten by the Twolves.

I bet those 2 weeks turn into 2 months. I will believe that when I actually see KG on the court. I learned my lesson in 2009.
