Come on, Luis. Kirby ain't passing . Whoever FA it is will have to pry the "torch" from his dead cold hands... this is the Coward 2.0 story. tbh, I think Fredo is more interested in the $$$ than winning (and I think that's the huge difference with Dr Buss)... could totally see him throwing the house at Melo in the offseason, just to get enough "buzz" to sell more tickets...
I'd be OK with Melo as a stop gap. He's an elite scorer - especially as a stretch 4. However, I'd pry 23-year old Lance Stevenson from Bird. This dude is a baller and a true all star snub. He went to Cincinnati and I believe he's from NY. That tells me he's hard working, tough, and talented - meaning he'll get along with Kobe just fine. He didn't get along with Snaq because he got fat and happy with 3 rangs (literally). This led to The Eviction! and Kobe-5, Snaq-4.

He's a ballstopping coach killing cancer who would cap the Lakers for years.

Sorry Jorge, but you're delusional if you think Fredo would be getting him as a "stop gap".... more like another albatross on the salary cap, just like Kirby's Contract!

Stop gap does not equal long term contract, numbnuts. 5th Ward ISD failing us again.

Melo is all about money, so he isn't signing a short-term deal

If you still don't understand the obvious: Carmelo solo cuida por el dinero

Lol yes you will. If you sign him, you'd have to renounce other contracts, which can and will be done even with the Albatross.

I agree Stevenson is a baller, but I also think he needs direction, something they have on the Pacers, but I don't see on the Lakeshow (at least until Phil walks back through that door). Are you also suggesting he's franchise material? Sorry Ariel, I don't see it.

No, he's an uber talented complimentary piece.

However, are you sure that a 5x champion can't lead? Don't let Coward's situation deflect from reality. Kobe is a hard nosed, old school, blue collar type player that packs heat every night. I could see Lance taking a liking to him. Just like #24 on the Pacers did. And Bird himself.

Do they not broadcast Laker games in Honduras? You clearly know nothing about Kirby if you think that selfish, ballhogging, injury-faking, cap-whoring diva is "hard nosed" or "blue collar"

The only thing he's "packing" is fudge, as evidenced by The Tape!

No, Kobe is a selfish asswipe who could never adjust his game to make his team better. Who is begging to play with Kobe? Since Dwight paid 30 million to get away, and Earl Clark bolted for Cleveland.

Fisher isn't on the team anymore, neither is Phil. The Coward situation is a textbook case of the narcissist making everything about him. He's always been a terrible leader, this isn't hate or news. That's why Fredo coddling him with that contract compounds the problem. Like I said earlier, Rafael, if you think he's passing that torch, I have Lakers playoff tickets for this season to sell you.

Can I get them for $3.95 (court side) like in HEB Center?
