Vince Carter. He made a great shot to win it. Spurs played a uva game but didn't find a way to win it, no biggie. Just got to go out and get the next one.
I don't understand how there are different posts than this, or basketball gods, or something along those lines. We played a fine game, they just got the last good break. I can understand the collective meltdown if this were to happen in game 4 and we were down 3-1, but if we come back and get game 4 we head back to san antonio tied 2-2 with home court. It's all good everyone calm down lol

You think it's time for that already?

For me Leonard not being the great player everyone thought he was is really killing our spirit.
Silly fouls, missed FT at key times, idiotic turnovers. Seems he is a little nervous, hope he brings it next games.

Yeah...not Pop, not Patty, not Marco, not Green, just Leonard. He was playing better than last game, but he's really killing Spurs spirit...

Isn't somebody injured? We can blame it on that like Manu in '11?

Why did Parker play only 33 minutes - this is the playoffs - they're in a dogfight. What is Pop doing having Parker on the bench in crunchtime?
Apparently, he was permanently gassed after going hard for one quarter, after playing twice in nine days, playing less than 30 minutes in one of those games and being babied all season.

The usual, the going get's tough and Parker is inexplicably playing limited minutes and essentially conceding the offense down the stretch to Ginobili/Duncan, as if this is the old days.

As far as the question, Pop and Parker are 1A and 1B, with the defense just behind. From the time the Mavs came back from 9 down, it seemed like they either made a field goal, got to the free throw line or got an offensive rebound and then did one of those two things damn near 90% of the time. The defense felt at least 20 points worse than the total they gave up, which was high itself.

IF Spurs lose this, Pop needs to retire. You just don't blow like this after last year's Finals.
    Agreed.

If Pop loses the first round, to an eighth seed, with no injury excuse, I hope Holt fires him.

I wouldn't go that far. But he should step down. Probably better off in some sort of advisor role.

It was a team effort, everyone made a bonehead play somewhere in that game, but overall Manu and Tim have been the guys keeping us in it. Tony's done well in the 1st half but has lost steam in the 2nd half, even in game one he had a terrific last 5 mins, but before that he couldn't repeat what he did in the first half. These guys saw something on film, they are attacking as soon as they get possession of the ball, he are letting Tony run wild but making him work and he has faded in all 3 games as the game goes on. I don't blame pop it looks like the guys are tired and slow. They are playing hard but so far the Mavs have outhustled them on just about every facet of the game.

100-97. Spurs had the ball. Manu bricks with 15 on the clock at 1:45. Dallas goes the other way. Four-point swing plus time left for Dallas at the end. We get two there we are up by five instead of one. Game over.

Manu has no discipline and his three ball sux.

There was no way he would make that three. He should have passed it.

And nice back court toss to the invisible man, too. Wtf?
It's not a four point swing. If there was an offensive goaltending, you might have a point. The shot could have been missed regardless of the time on the clock. Every miss is a 2 point swing. But everyone knows Manu is Tony Allen with more talent.

It it is a four-point swing either way (or even five) because ten seconds come off the clock and Dallas never has a chance to win at the end. Manu is a washed up chucker who amazes with his ability to pass the ball to the fans sitting under the opposing team's basket.

If the spurs flame out it is the front offices fault for coming back with the same team year after year. I am tired of watching the same script year after year with the same team. This core should have been broken up years ago.

Rascal I know you are a Lakers fan on the low trolling, I agree with you a few times but honestly you are not mad at all the Spurs lost and you appear to be a fan trying to act like a fan of another team to troll some. I do agree at times on this series and with some things you say though, you are not upset though the Spurs are losing or lost today or the Finals last year and you know it.

Keeping Bonner at 4 mil was stupid...especially when it was clear that he was washed up. His salary was only partially guaranteed too. Wasting the MLE on Marco and Ayres made no sense ether. Jeff was a ing nobody - tore his ACL and barely played in Indiana. The er didn't deserve anything more than the vet min and Spurs handed him a portion of the MLE. As for Marco, they should have offered him the room exception. If he accepted, great. If not, him - he's not that good anyway.

Last year was a fluke lucky playoff run that needed injuries to the top compe ion to advance. Last year has fooled you and many others to think that team is good enough to make it back if other teams stay healthy.

The same core hasn't even been able to get to the finals since 2007 outside of the fluke of last year. The team should have been broken up years ago but conservative thinkers(not willing to take any risks and being tight fisted financially when it comes to free agents only locking up their own players to dumb contracts) like you and the Spurs management keep running out the same team year after year.

LOL dumbass, you said years ago so the team that got 6 seconds from a le would have already been broken up.
