People really need to get over this subject.

The original starter of thread wasn't trying to start a race war. He was just saying - hey look - the Spurs could have five guys with white skin on the floor on the same time this season -- which is unusual in the NBA. So stop getting into a whole melodramatic, semi-political, race relations discussion.

It was just a comment. It would be like me starting a thread saying -- Wow, the Spurs have five guys with green eyes that could play at the same time this year (if that were true). Or saying -- Hey look, the Celtics have five redheads.

It's just a category of a physical attribute - white skin. Get over it.

I know you're not talking to me, but I have to tell you something really funny. My little brother went to Georgetown High School (Texas). They used their football stadium to film whichever high school football movie had Jon Voigt (was it Varsity Blues?). They put a statue of Jon Voigt up near the stadium as part of the film because it was a statue of the "coach" and it's still there.

They just left it there and nobody wanted to take it down.

And while he was in town filming that movie, Jon Voigt stopped by Book People in Austin, where my husband worked at the time. He asked my husband for a book and my husband's a chatty guy, so they started talking about good books. Voigt asked if Jim had ever read Autobiography of a Yogi and Jim said no and Voigt said, Well you should, and Jim gave him his usual, well, I'm a poor college student, so I never buy new books. So Jon Voigt bought the book for him. Of course Jim had NO clue who the guy was until he left and one of his coworkers was like, "Dude, did Jon Voigt just buy you a book?"

That was quite the interesting story...i would have been like hey sir do you mind if i have your daughters phone number, cause Angelina Jolie would love San Antonio if i took her out for a night in the town......and in my room...and in the kitchen, and in the laundry room.....and in the car........
