Darn. Where did you read that? So what's wrong with him? Is it the calf, or his back?
This is why I wanted to upgrade for better depth. Instead, yet again, the Spurs went cheap.
Tiago seeing another specialist today is worrisome

MYSA said he is seeing another specialist it is also on spurs.com
This has always been worrisome to me. Does anybody besides me remember the last year of Brent Barry's contract when he hurt his calf, was out for a bit, hurt it again within about five minutes of being back on the floor, and was essentially done for the season. (It was late in the season, anyway, but...)
This kind of injury is always worrisome to me.
Yop, looking bleak for Splitter.
I think tiago ed up his calf playing for brazil this summer
Tiago is out for New Orleans: http://www.nba.com/spurs/story/14110..._injury_report
I don't remember the calf injury, but I do remember Brent being ones of the Spurs' best players in the series against LA, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Manu had the ankle/foot injury in that series and only averaged something like 10 ppg (he was clearly hobbled by it) and I thought Brent played as hard as he could that series. If he played with that kind of fire and passion throughout his time here, then Pop might not have tried to trade him numerous times.
I don't remember the whole thing perfectly and you may be far better than I am regarding the specifics, but I have seared into my brain the picture of one of those black calf sleeves on Barry's leg in the game in which he came back after several weeks off due to a calf injury. He had not been on the floor more than about five minutes when he kind of stopped moving and his leg with the sleeve on it came up lame. He just kind of stood there on one leg while the offensive set went on without him. He left the court right after that and they were saying that his calf went out on him again. I don't remember him coming back after that, but as I said, your memory may be far better than mine.
