RAYMAC IS GOING TO SUPRISE
He's going to be a better player than other #3... George Hill.
Cotton was getting bullied in the Summer league & would have been a major liability on defense.
I'm more inclined to buy that argument when talking about him playing big minutes. But getting spot minutes is a different scenario.
You did witness Austin Rivers bulling Patty.
Come on. That was Rivers making shots he normally doesn't make.
Now, I'm not even claiming Cotton's not a potential defensive liability. I'm saying it's over-stated. He's a spark plug offensively and can have a strong plus minus in limited minutes with a second unit like the Spurs have.
I doubt it. As long as the lil doesn't get hurt.....he b aight
Considering how often TP is injured, Ray can't be considered a third PG on the roster. He's gonna get plenty of burn next season.
For me he had it at the 1:30 mark of the vid.
Probably. Another reason Bryce was a no go for me. He probably won't be playing just spot minutes.
And, to Spurtacular's point, we already have another one of those sparkplug guys. His name is Patty Mills. We just didn't need a duplicate. Versatility is better.
Looking forward to seeing Ray Mac! The nickname alone sounds sweet enough to give someone diabetes.
Ray seems to be a genuinely good guy, much like Cory. Qualities that PATFO value a lot.
Because you didn't call Pop or Buford?
Didnt look like he was getting bullied. Cotton was one of the best players in SL, and dropped a couple 40 point games. And has now signed a multi year deal with utah, apparently hes impressed them there.
He can score but again he can't play defense...he makes Patty seem like Tony Allen. He is a ball dominant 5'10" shooting guard which doesn't quite fit the bill.
McCallum>>>>Jimmer tbh
But is he a defensive oriented? is he at CoJo's level?
From Media day. I didn't realize his dad used to coach at University of Houston.

Speaking of Ray and his dad, apparently Stan Van Gundy let Ray's dad travel down to San Antonio for the game the other night on the charter plane with the Pistons. That's very nice of him.
Lmao did someone say Patty is a better defender than Ray?
ray is mediocre but Patty is pretty bad.
Still, so far Cojo >>> Mcallum
Did McCallum even show up in the Sixers massacre?
6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 turnover. 24 minutes of play.
He's got athleticism and a good shot, but unfortunately, he doesn't know how to orchestrate the offense and can't create offense for himself.
Spurs are in need of players who can guard the quicker superstar point guards in the league.
Time to waive him and start shopping for better defensive talent?
In before #BringBackCojo starts trending
Uh, he played but once boban got in, it was boban prime time and Ray didn't get the ball much.
Anderson played a lot too and he is a point forward.
And then old Tony Parker played the first half.
