Done on a team that lost to an 8 seed (albeit a very good one, and after Manu got hurt) while starting for a team that went to Game 7 against the highest regular season win team of all time in the finals. Unreal.
Have to respect his grind, tbh..he became a joke after his Spurs' and Warriors' stints, but it's very impressive that he got on the Vince Carter plan at age 35..

Peak-wise, yes..he was probably 5th or 6th during the RS, though, tbh..

His performance in the playoffs has been unreal considering the mileage on his body..he has more mileage during 1 stretch than anybody in league history..
Lebron has been the best in recent days because his shot has started to fall more. RS Bron that was second to last in threes (only ahead of TOSB Kobe) was not the best.

Who got on the VC plan at 35? And what is the VC plan?

    In the playoffs, yeah.

Imo if he gets to at least 4 rings - he's 2nd-best all time after Jordan.
He'll never pass Bird or Jordan for me. His shot is too much sh**. I'd have him ahead of Magic and Kobe though and somewhere on the Shaq level.

No one really comes close. He affects EVERY facet of the game and doesn't just stand around 30 feet out and chuck 3s. He's nearly averaging a trip-dub for the series on well over 50% shooting while also scoring 31ppg

And he really only has one legitimate running mate in Kyrie. Kevin Love.

    Kang
He is the best player in the game but that really is more of a statement of how much todays league is tbh...

Nobody disagreed...we should give Lebron an award for "unanimous best player according to spurstalk.com" to go in his trophy case. Not an easy award to win at all.

As great as Bird was, Lebron and even Kobe are already ahead of him in the all-time record books. Bird is by far the greatest white American player to play the game, but he's not top five all time.

Tony Parker (2012-2013 version) and Lebron James in their primes are, in a sense, similar players. What I mean by that is - when their jump shots are/were on, they are virtually unstoppable. It's all about the jumper for Lebron. When that is on, he just cannot be stopped and it opens up his game to insane levels. If both of these guys were consistently good shooters throughout their careers, they would have been totally unstoppable.

I agree with the comments highlighting his two way domination. He definitely deserves FMVP win or lose. But a consolation prize will always be just that.

He is great top 10 ... but top 5 is to high ...mj,shaq, lebron, kobe, magic duncan all have a case over Larry ...
but he is not far off.his peak was amazing though.

Birds peak was as high as shaq, Jordan, and Lebron. He was dominating the league in a way that there was t anyone who could even approach him as the best player in the league. And he peaked during magics prime, jabbars end of prime, , Isaiah's prime, Moses end, moncriefs prime , and Jordan's youth. Lebron doesn't even have anyone approaching that level of compe ion and Lebron didn't overwhelmingly dominated like bird did.

The only thing that beat him was his back.

    Lemme check Lebron's resume:

    1. Beat the greatest regular season team in NBA history
    2. Beat the NBA's first unanimous MVP
    3. Led a team to overcome a 1-3 Finals deficit
    4. Beat the greatest power forward in history in 2013

Nothing against Bird, but I would pick Lebron over him 8 times in a week, twice on a Sunday.

Though without Amy Duncan he'd only have the 2.

I don't see any other SF who is better than Lebron legacy-wise. I wouldn't put him over Magic yet, but Lebron has already passed Bird after winning his third.

To be fair, GSW might just topped the Spurs as far as Finals choking is concerned.
