No NFL team should ever go 1-31 in two years. This isn't high school where some programs are just completely overmatched and aren't capable of winning. I don't care how bad they are, how young they are, whatever. If you're an NFL team you ought to be capable of winning at least two or three games in a season. You don't have to be very good to go 2-14.
But this is exactly what the organization deserves. This organization has never put a premium on winning. It's always year one or two of a perennial rebuild around here. It's always about "player development," "the plan," "the process," some nebulous idea of "progress" and so forth, but never about actually putting the most compe ive team on the field that they can. They're okay with losing. Let them get their noses rubbed in it, then.
