    Popular with Kenosha blacks?

    If you say so.

Also if your contention is he was shot in the back after NOT using his curved blade tactical knife and walking away, I'm not sure what the imminent danger was.
I'm not saying the cop didn't over react but this wasn't some unarmed innocent angel. The cop already knew he had a knife and probably thought he was reaching for a gun. Legally, the cop will probably not be charged as he was literally in a situation where he could have feared for his life. Could he have handled it differently? probably, but so could have Blake.

I don't get shooting him 7 times. The average Joe is no longer a threat after getting hit with 3-4 nine-milimeter slugs in the back. Would like to hear an explanation from their PD.
Cops are trained to empty the clip, changing that is one common sense part of police reform that should happen.

Well thank God they had their body cams worn and functioning. They really cleared everything up for the public they serve and are sworn to protect.
Did they not have their body cams on? It should be an automatic rule that a cop who shoots someone and doesn’t have his body cam on loses his job. You can’t imprison or charge people for not having their body cam on, but it should be an automatic pink slip.

Figured that may be the case. I do wonder if they are offered any leeway on that.

Yes. The woman whose house he was at and who called the police had been previously sexually assaulted by him and there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Even If he did that, the police should have never shot him seven times in the back.

Even the NYTimes is willing to admit Jacob Blake was not complying with police and he had a deadly weapon.

The The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, which is investigating the shooting of Jacob Blake, is offering an initial account of what happened on Sunday.
According to DOJ: Kenosha Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of 40th Street after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises.
During the incident, officers attempted to arrest Jacob S. Blake, age 29. Law enforcement deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake, however the taser was not successful in stopping Mr. Blake.
Mr. Blake walked around his vehicle, opened the driver’s side door, and leaned forward. While holding onto Mr. Blake’s shirt, Officer Rusten Sheskey fired his service weapon 7 times.
During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession. DCI agents recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of Mr. Blake’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons.
DCI is continuing to review evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to a prosecutor following a complete and thorough investigation.
To review: evidence suggests Jacob Blake was harassing a woman (the same woman who called the cops), armed with a dangerous weapon, refused to comply with officers, was already previously tased (& the tasing didn't stop him), had a lengthy criminal record that includes sexual assault (among other things), and he even admitted to officers he was armed.

No one ever said he was an angel. The story has always been the imaginary gun so the cops' fear usually trumps any logic.

I didn’t even bother to fact check him but I didn’t remember them lasting nearly that long.
I was wrong...didn't bother to look it up. Protests went from April 18th to May 3rd so I'm guessing that's what made me feel like the riots were longer.

look at the video on full screen. You can clearly see the knife when he walks in front of the car and raises his left hand above his wast with the white t-shirt background.
Where is a video like this.
    Can't find any so far.

Jacob Blake seems like he's probably a piece of , but the thing about this case and so many other police brutality cases is you never really find out if they were a piece of until after the brutality. That doesn't really help the next guy who faces it, who may or may not be a piece of .

This. The right to this day claimed Trayvon Martin was a piece of and I’ve yet to hear a coherent explaination as to why beyond a social media picture where he was wearing gold teeth and looked like a “thug”

They've been ing around for three years waiting for "guidance" from the state. Body cams are in the 2022 budget.

Kicking around but not donating money?

Plenty of thoughts and prayers though, can not give out enough of those.

They memed the out of this kid's corpse to on black people. They tried to pretend it was about "justice" but Cannon's killer was already in custody and charged. Ghoulish whataboutism.
