lolBTW, think we could get some extra padded chairs for the bench in a trade for Barry or is that asking too much? If Manu wasnt hurt I think Barry would be gone already
Well
hes still "adjusting" is what Ive heard.
Duncan is just a puss.

Yeah I here that whole walking and talking at the same time thing is still tough for him too.
dribbling and going to the whole evidently is still too.
I wish that rumor of Barry Oberto for Stephen Jackson thing was true.
Id do that so quick......
Piss off yankee. The thing that trips me out, 2-3 days ago all the spurts fans were talking as much smack, if not more than the Pistons' fans. Now that we've handed your asses to you on a platter, the game "doesn't matter anymore...it's only December".
Tfart - what does Duncan's sore feet have to do with our team not showing up today? Jack and squat.
I concur we should have been playing at home, just one more reason our showing today was so pathetic. We should have kicked their asses and said "hey David, next time we get play at home."
Bum, Horry hasn't shown up to play before April in a good six years, not sure why that's such a surprise.I know its way to early to call out Horry but among our big men he has been the biggest let down so far.
I really wish we could put something together for Luol Deng. Stephen Jackson is definately an offensive injection but he plays 0 defense. I am forever greatful for what he did for us in '03 but Indy can keep him.
Not duncan.what does Duncan's sore feet have to do with our team not showing up today?
Id say Ginobili's sore foot did though.
Its not a suprise. Thats why I admitted its way to early. I was just commenting on big men.
Look folks, if the shots weren't falling today and the effort was there, I could deal with it.
I know our team can't be up for every game. But on a national stage, in a game where the commish has slapped you in the face already twice by making your game the undercard AND making you play on the road, how the can you not bring the intensity?
That's weak. And that's on the players AND the staff. Everyone treated this as a giveaway game because Manu wasn't playing, instead of seizing on the opportunity to make a statement with him out.
thats not correct what so ever.but he plays 0 defense.
in a system like the Spurs he plays good D.
Rewatch the 4th quarter VS Dallas in 03 in game 6.
His defense and Offense were as big as Kerr's 3s.
because the team doesn't worry about trivial stuff like that?I know our team can't be up for every game. But on a national stage, in a game where the commish has slapped you in the face already twice by making your game the undercard AND making you play on the road, how the can you not bring the intensity?
I guess barry does, huh?
That's typical Tpark logic. One guy is hurt so it's okay for the rest of the team to play like ass and not give a damn. Not duncan.
Id say Ginobili's sore foot did though.
Every other team in the league a star gets hurt and the team steps up - we've seen it enough against the Spurs to know it's true.
Why won't anyone on this team step up, instead of all this "whoa is us Manu is hurt" ?
Well when 90% of your offense goes through a certain player you are going to have serious offensive let downs when he cant move like he is needed to.
Also when he cant hold his ground on the defensive boards and gets pushed around leading to a -27 rebound margin. You got issues.
He isnt the sole reason for the loss, neither is missing Manu. But Tim Duncan needs to nut up and get aggressive and will this team to some damn victories on his own.
Okay, then how about the fact you're playing against the biggest threat to your throne for the next 4 years?
You make more excuses than the last 4 presidential press secretaries put together.
Fine and complain and worry your goddamn headoff.
man, I try to be cool with you but you continue to be a in asshole.
Get ed.
Right, I would think the point would be to get a player who better fits your system. Not a player of the same mold. Right?
TPark: I was referring to SJax now. Watch an Indy game. Carlisle preaches defense first just like Pop and he is getting NONE from SJax. IMO we dont need a loud flamboyant personality coming in and throwing chemistry into an even bigger whirlwind of inconsistency. A quiet strong player that knows their role and relishes in it is what we need.
More so we need a healthy Manu.
Damn, BLUD, I can feel it. Indianas gonna go mainy on us. We're probably gonna lose to them too.
If this team can't run a play without Duncan getting the rock we've got bigger problems than losing today.Well when 90% of your offense goes through a certain player you are going to have serious offensive let downs when he cant move like he is needed to.
Um, it wasn't just Duncan - it was Horry, Rasho, Bowen, Nazr to a lesser extent, even Finley and Parker got worked. Also when he cant hold his ground on the defensive boards and gets pushed around leading to a -27 rebound margin. You got issues.
Damn, the team sucked as a whole today. To pawn it all off on Duncan is short-sighted. Yeah, he needs to nut up but this entire team from Pop right down the bench to Marks at the end, needs to do a little soul searching.
Not showing up for a December game against NO/K is one thing, not showing up for a Christmas Day national telecast tilt against your biggest threat to a repeat is another.
i don't see how you could watch the spurs play recently and not admit they are missing manu. detroit fans should know how much the spurs miss manu being in the lineup, he wa the reason we won game 7 last year. the knowledgeable pistons fans on this board were hoping manu would be playing, because the spurs are not the same without him. i am glad they are making sure he is healthy before he comes back. he is not afraid to take it to the hole, and his defense is also sorely missed.
Gimme a break Tpark.
I'm not being an asshole to you. Just pointing out your incredibly flawed logic of Tim's poor aching foot being an excuse for the entire Spurs team laying a ing egg today.man, I try to be cool with you but you continue to be a in asshole.
Get ed.
just to clarify, manu being hurt is no reason for the spurs to play like this. but, he brings a lot of energy to the floor.
I'm not being an asshole to youThat's typical Tpark logic.ooh how silly am i.You make more excuses than the last 4 presidential press secretaries put together
I shouldve taken these and other assorted things as compliments.
Damn, what an asshole IVE been!!
DAMN!!
Umm.. how are you going to call out Bowen?Um, it wasn't just Duncan - it was Horry, Rasho, Bowen, Nazr to a lesser extent, even Finley and Parker got worked.
And then give Finley an afterthought?
Bowen was awesome today and Finley sucked ass all the way around.
Alright jack ass you just took stuff out of context and then argued something that you left out. Quote the whole damn post next time. I said in that very post it definately was not all on Duncan. Talk about mirroring a press secretary.....
When you are the best player on your team and one of the best in the NBA you are going to take more heat when your team loses. Period. Thats the way things are. Duncan is the front line for this team before, during and after the game.
