Solid used that name for it at 7:25AM, and Kori used it about an hour later.

They'll have to arm wrestle or something over who gets credit for it.
Sounds like a VBookie waiting to happen. $50 on the princess!!!

How important are great plays or amazing shots in the FIRST ROUND of the playoffs to a franchise that wins championships? How memorable really?
I was thinking the exact same thing. I'd put Duncan's shot over Shaq in the .04 game above last night's shot just because of the situation and the compe ion.

I wish he had missed that shot, then maybe, they would not have been depressed and gave up in the next game.

The loss in that game isn't the part that sickens me, it's the giving-up thing.

I just now recorded the last 5 regulation minutes from the NBA TV replay (the rest of the Spurs game wasn't worth keeping)

The bounce had the ball bouncing off the border at the top front of the backboard. A couple inches higher, and the ball would have cleared the top of the board and out of bounds.

A crazy trajectory, too. From the side of the court, hit the back rim, deflected 90* from its shot path towards the front rim, bounced straight up, hit top of back boad, and down and in.

    Youngsters.

MDM is #1; w/o it I think that series becomes a tossup - that Portland team was stacked and about as athletic as any team EVER; the sweep occurred BECAUSE of the MDM
The Spurs had lost six games out of their previous 42. They probably would have won that series in 5 if Elliott's shot hadn't gone in. It's still a great shot, and one of my favorite moments, but the Spurs have had exciting moments in seasons where they didn't win the le, which aren't as easily remembered.

I rank them this way (as I mentioned last night in chat, still stand by it):

    1. Sean's Memorial Day Miracle
    2. Horry's Dad's Day Dagger
    3. Barry's yet to be named 4/25/06 shot.

Horry's shot is only edging out Barry's because A. it was on enemy territory court & B. it was a Finals game.
I haven't read all the posts...but i heard it as

    THE "HAIL BARRY!"
