Oops. I meant to say I doubt Scola is part of this trade. I think Oberto is the main part of this trade.
Guess we'll be able to go to sleep early draft night.

I'd like to keep the pick. This is a better deal
Stan Kelly + Oberto for Bonner.
The only edge of a 59th pick is that you cna draft an euro and let him in europe improving his game.
If we want to draft a college guy, he won't likely be drafted because there are only the 60th pick. We can sign him as a FA to a min contract in july.
A 59th pick in this draft sucks because there are very few foreign guys.
And the draft is so thin that they'll get snatched up by other teams, because they're better than the alternative.
Rights to so-so foreign player who might improve > no rights to so-so college player you cut in camp
Its Rasho for Eric Williams, Matt Bonner, and 2009 Second Round pick.
If we are trading our secound round pick.. It might mean we will pick up a first round pick from some other team
Scola at 35th pick isn't ridiculous. Especially in this draft. But that ain't happenning anyway.
I hope we get a pick somewhere else if we did throw in the 2nd rounder.
Well -- We definintely lose on the defensive end -- UNLESS Pop thinks Javtokus can come in and defend like Rasho right away.
Yes, it is. Scola's not worth a lottery pick, as some on these boards may think. But he's certainly worth more than a second rounder.
I agree with you then, I thought you meant that 35 was too good a pick for him.
Yeah, okay... huh?![]()
