That's funny about this supposed rumor. My cousin's brother-in-law know's a guy at work who said his friend's ex co-worker heard the same thing.

Mihm and Butler would be the best duo at this point. They could keep each other honest competing for the starter position. Assuming Mihm would have it to begin. The starting center position would definitely be up in the air if the team ends up with an Elson/Butler duo.

What exactly is Barry's trade kicker?

Um...I don't want Barry traded to the Lakers. Phil Jackson is not the coach and the Lakers are not the team, that Barry needs to be playing for.

We'll regret that trade if we make it.

Barry > Elson and or Mihm...especially with Phil Jackson punching his buttons.

We definitely don't need Mihm that badly...he's not a difference maker.

And Barry's age isn't a factor there either...that's just about the age where Phil turns them into 3 point killers and gets 3 more deadly years out of them. And Barry's already capable of being and has been, a killer, even with zero confidence...

Trade Barry anywhere but to LA...or Phoenix.

Barry would work great with Kobe because Barry is unselfish and passes the ball. Kobe would love that.

Im just suprised anyone on this board is even considering this as a valid topic considering the origional posters credibility. My dog has more credibility when he s in the house and acts all scared like it wasnt him when we find it.

I shouldn't be so hard on Bynum -- he got owned by a D-League champion.

But yeah, it happened. Memphis might just go into training camp with two huge Greek centers....

Because Oberto > Mihm?[/QUOTEIf we get Mihm over here I want Butler and Elson to be matched because I want Oberto to get a lot of time. I'm tellin you he will surprise everyone, just if he gets a chance!

You're either Argentinian or just in stupid. Oberto is not NBA material, end of discussion. He's already "surprised everyone" by tricking the spurs into signing yet another foreign big who cant jump or do much of anything outside of adjusting his hair.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Mihm pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

If Barry goes to LA... are you kidding me??? Under a Jackson led team Barry's worth will be magnified...

We will regret this if we end up getting Mihm and if the Lakers end up getting the missing cog Jackson's been looking for as a PG.....
1st off, Barry is not a PG. He is a servicable subs ution when Beno/Nick were injured and Tony needed a blow. When he comes in, he plays the 2. Sure sometimes he brings the ball down, but so does Manu, and he ain't no PG. barry would be playing behind and/or opposite Kobe. Even there he would split time with Vujacic, who showed his ability to hit clutch 3s as well. Barry wouldn't be anything more than he is now.

I dont see the Lakers going for Barry.

They got Mo Evans to back up Kobe.

Barry would play the 1 in LA not the 2....

I see Barry starting. In the triangle, they like big guards who don't necessarily handle the ball or initiate the offense. Barry would be one of the better ball-handlers in that position Phil has had. He just needs to move the ball around, learn the sets, and hit threes. He's already shown he can play pretty good defense.

I seem to recall Barry as the PG in Seattle.... he thrived in that offense...

This would not make sense for the Lakers. It would leave them with Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum handling the center duties. Mihm is better than either one of those guys.
Tlong...Once again you have proven to have vast NBA insight.....Mihm may be a bit clumsy but he can score....Bynum is still a child...”Kwame is still Kwame” now you see him now you don’t....

Now can you do me a favor? Remove that frightening...emaciated... boney azz... gal in desperate need of 50 pounds & replace the photo with something more appealing...How about Vida Guerra?

He has averaged 3.5 assists for his career. in 11 seasons he has had more rebounds than assists 8 times. TiMVP has averaged 3.1 assists for his career... maybe he can be our backup PG.

they need to get Kobe some more help. Because Kobe is not the team by himself.
Ok, I'll buy that. The hard part is convincing Kobe of that. If you could, you'd make history.

We tried to get Chris Mihm last season. This makes sense...now--------------it does NOT mean that this "rumor" is worth more than the breakfast I just flushed down the toilet, but he's a good center.
