it wasn't selective amnesia, i wasn't even saying that's the only reason you got one, or even that it was the main reason. a lot of people buy them because they can. btw, curtain airbags don't necessarily offer children extra protection. most children are too short to be offered much protection by them - you need to be around 5 feet tall to receive protection from the curtain airbag.

probably, i was just trying to let you know that they may not help children all that much. i agree that SUVs feel a lot safer, they aren't made of plastic like a lot of smaller sedans. i'm not trying to dog your tahoe, i was just trying to give you some information.

I've seen how the side airbags are deployed and the area they cover, so I'm pretty sure my kid would appreciate not having glass plucked out of his eyes in the event of an accident.
