What do you mean "points in the paint". You know all those lay-ups, those are points in the paint. Those jump-shots for the FT line that Dirk is almost automatic from ... Points in the paint.
Now if your saying that we don't dunk very much ... Thats true, but then the Mavs have almost never been a "Dunking" team.
You must think it unwise to take an open 10' jumper and instead to drive it to the basket so that the opposing center and PF can try to block it. This is one of the reasons that we dumped Finley, he would have the open shot and instead drive the ball into three defenders and miss a tough shot.
To each his own. I'll take Dirk taking his 10' jumper over just about any other play in the play book.

I'm still glad that the Mavs were WC champs and not 2nd round losers last season...seriously. Bagging on the Mavs for being the WC champs after they beat your team in game 7 on the road? That is exactly why Dallas lost the NBA Finals. Zo and Shaq were too much inside, so Dallas had to go back to jump shooting. Jump shooting may work well in the regular season and early in the playoffs, but by the Finals, when everything tightens up, those shots don't always fall = Dallas a jump shooting team eliminated in the playoffs like the past 6 seasons.

Nope, if we don't win the Finals, we might as well not even make the playoffs. I'd rather lose in the 2nd round vs the Mavs than to go on to the Finals and lose to the Heat. Nothing would hurt more for a team to lose an NBA Finals, especially after being up 2-0, and almost up 3-0. Sucks for Dallas.
YEah, what's weak is getting defensive about the consolation prize, when the dude forgets he's talking to fans of a team who's already DELIVERED THE WHOLE THING THREE TIMES.

Yeah, your team did a good job getting that far. In small doses it's a nice notion. I wouldn't want to wear any shirt like that if it's anything less the Finals! It's not something to be proud of, until they deliver the whole thing.

No one's really celebrating .We're just happy we're finally getting some wins for the week. And some recognition. I think we were ranked number 1 because we're starting to get the pity vote by these ESPN guys.
We envy your team. They're really legitimately the best the team in the league.
But thanks, I hope your team keeps their win percentage pace, it's to the Spurs advantage to fly under the radar as the old farts they are.
I'm calling it, we're all gonna turn into Playoff Horries to win our fourth championship. Except, instead of just one Horry. It'll be the whole bench. Except Horry of course. He's too old.
