Do you need a degree from Hollinger U to understand those? The only thing I look at is point differential.

Good Job Guys!!! Go Spurs Go!!!
Is this guy on crack? Dallas has won 90% of their games since starting 0-4. 90% is a 73-win pace. How any metric can put any team over one winning 9 out of 10 is pretty mind-boggling.
It doesnt matter this team is finished. Ughhh I am so pissed off that these ers couldnt get another deal done. Unless we avoid Houston in round 1, we will be finished come 2nd round. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Again with the general assumptions that most Spurs fans believe power rankings = les.
if i were a mavfan this would piss me off
Holy crap, this thread is blowing up! Look at all of the Spurs fans ing themselves over this news! In the 2 1/2 hours since this thread's posting I count TWO Spurs fans who actually care! I guess MavFan was correct... we DO put as much stock into the Power Rankings as the average Dallas fan.
Everyone make sure these rankings are posted on the Mavs boards. lolololololol
SINCE starting 0-4, but that does not mean that the 0-4 to open the season never happened. If we can throw out losing streaks, then let's throw out the Spurs' 3-game losing streak from January and say that they are 37-15.
Also, Dallas will not, I repeat WILL not beat Miami tonight. Shaq and Zo will own all the cheap jump shots the Mavs take all the time.
Also, it's not 90%, it's 83% on the season. No throwing out losing streaks.

Spurs are the sleeping giants. Will they wake up this year remains to be seen.
Also, will you all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop saying how Houston could eliminate SA in the first round. Please, SA = Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Bowen, and Horry as NBA Finals veterans. Houston = Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady who have never won a playoff series in their lives. Houston over SA is sounding dumber and dumber as the season goes on.
As are you.
Houston also equals one of the best defensive teams out there. They are a threat to any team. And don't sleep on Battier or Bonzi either. Bonzi has already shown the Spurs that he can step up in the post season.
Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming have never won a first round playoff series, and you want to tell me that an NBA Finals veteran team like SA whose core players (Duncan, Ginobili, Parker) are still young enough to contend this year, are going to fall to McGrady and Yao who never have made it past the first round? My dog is even smarter than that.
I know a lot of this board hates me (because I tell the truth and am a real Spurs fan), but I'm right on this one.
*****OK, let's take a vote....who here HONESTLY believes that SA would fall to Houston in the first round. No maybe's, it's yes or no.
Woo hoo, top of the power ranking charts. Give us our championship now!
Spurs can beat the Suns in the 2nd round i am sure of it they still play almost no D in Phoenix. Question is will they have enough left in the tank for Dallas in the West Finals.
The #1 b-ball wizard of SpursTalk has spoken...![]()
Hey I love the Spurs as much as anybody, but the Houston match-up worries me more than the Suns or even the Mavs. We just don't match up well with them at all. We can't guard Yao, can't guard T-Mac and can't guard Bonzi. I'd be very concerned if we had to play them.
Power rankings are daily so I wouldn't be suprised or upset or happy.
I bet mavs trolls are mad.
Also, I like Hollinger, but ranking us first is crazy. We don't deserve it.
Of course, because playoff series are determined entirely by experience.
The fact that the Spurs are ranked #1 proves that this ranking is e.
