They got Kennison and Sammie Parker, but other than that, they need some help. I wouldnt doubt them taking one with their late 1st or early 2nd. they also really need secondary help
    I forgot about them 2. I should've typed decent WR in 07'

Well Dante Hall wasn't a decent wide receiver either. He's only 5'8" which limits options.
He was a great return guy until everyone started respecting him.

Good luck to Dante. As a Chief fan, I'll miss him, but I'm also glad we traded him.

Herm and Vermeil tried to get too much out of him. The insisted at giving him time at WR ... which he isn't. Hopefully the Rams allow him to be a specialist and not do double duty.

Pistons, from what I heard Linehan is making him the PR and KR guy, with VERY VERY Rare times him being a 5th WR in some 3rd down sets.

Doubt he sees any time at wr. He barely played that in KC and they really, really needed wrs. He is just to small and not a very good route runner to be a good wr

Is this the same Dante Hall whose numbers have been steadily declining since '03?

I don't get this trade at all.

Yeah, it's the same one. If you knew how bad the Rams special teams is, then your would see why they made this move.

So bad that their KR actually had a better average than Hall last year? He's lost a step and is definitely on the downside of his career. Why not draft a speed demon with that 5th round pick or later? Two of the better return men of recent years, Drummond and Hall, both went undrafted. McGee was a 4th rounder, Morton a 5th, Michael Lewis went undrafted as well, etc.

They could have found a younger, cheaper return specialist(Hall scheduled to make $3.5 million over the next two years) and opted for Hall because of his name.

And I'd cry in a very, very bad way, mardy.

You dont like Quin then I take it? Why dont you like him? I think he seems kind of a prick, but his qb skills seem very good. Would you rather take Johnson? Or who do you like?

It's not that I don't like Quinn, it's just that I don't think he is that much better than guys like Stanton, Beck, Kolb and Edwards. Plus, the pressure on QBs here in Detroit is enormous. It's not a good fit for someone who up to this point has shown he isn't very good under pressure. To LionFan, he is Brady Harrington and that's not good.

Ideally, the rumored ATL would push through and they'd take Landry/Willis at #8 and then Spencer/Johnson with one of their 2nds and one of those QBs with the other 2nd.

Realistically, they'll probably take Adam/Thomas at #2. Honestly, I really have no clue but this team cannot afford to draft a QB in the 1st round and then sit him for a year or two. Fans would revolt. Again.

    WIDE RECIEVER

    WIDE RECIEVER

It wouldnt be that bad of a move. Guy will be a top 10 reciever his 1st year in the league. Put him next to Roy and you have one of the best reciever duos in the league for the next 7-10 years

I wouldn't mind CJ but dealing him equates to more value for the organization.

And there are people out there who think passing on/trading CJ would be almost as big a mistake as selecting BMW.

And you're talking about John Clayton, the same guy who said Trent Green is the key to the draft.

Are you talking about Willie Ponder? He only played like 3 games, and can only return kicks. So instead of having a PR and a KR, they fill that need with one player. If your talking about Kevin Curtis, he is no longer with the team, and had a fumble problem.

They might not have the best draft so far, but the got some good picks. Carriker will contribute right away. Jonathon Wade (CB, Tennessee) will be given plenty of time to develope into a good player, and their 2nd round pick FB/HB Brian Leonard (Rutgers) will combine with Steven Jackson to form a great 1-2 punch. He is projected to be a Mike Alstott type player, but coach Linehan says he won't be an everydown full back because he'll be a third down RB.

Yeah, can't say that im overly enthused about passing over Kiler a fantastic center from SC, to go with a 3rd RB.

The project Corner when they could've gone with some more DTs wich is a damn weakness.

Not too impressed as usual with John Shaw, and the other clowns in the front office.

I see your points, but let me attempt to explain a few of them. I see your point about the RB over the great center thing. Brian Leonard will be great, but the only answer I have to this is the fact that today they got lucky and got a good center for Clemson in Dustin Fry. Carriker will help now, and the project corner could turn out to be a great pick down the road. There not so stacked at corner either. In the 5th Rd., they also got a possible steal in DT Clifton Ryan of Michigan St. In the 7th round they got a good run stuffer in Keith Jackson of Arkansas. But what can I say, you can't expect to much from the 2nd day picks. All in all, it had It's bright spots and It's not so bright spots. I'm still a little confused that they didn't gain any LB help. They have a good starting 3 in Tinaisamoa, Draft, and Witherspoon, but where is the depth? I still think that we are the team to beat in the NFC West.
