Yeah, I give the man props as well. I can tell this guy wants to win it this year! If they win this series, it will be because of him. This is playoff basketball at its best! Man, I love this game!

I just saw this Ginobili quote on the "Daily Dime," so I thought I'd pass it on...

    Quote of the Day:
"When you go head against nose, unless it's me ... you have a lot of chances to win."
-- Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, explaining why Tony Parker survived his head-on collision with Steve Nash and poking fun at Manu's most famous facial feature in the process.

    I hope Nash gets better.

I just saw this Ginobili quote on the "Daily Dime," so I thought I'd pass it on...

... I would be worried about parker if he had collided to Amare's nose. But I think he won't have to worry about that, Amare seens to be the one who is worried.

I think that in the heat of the moment, the gash probably didn't hurt all that bad. I'm sure he felt it but when you're playing hard in a tight game like that, adrenaline takes over and you don't think about it like you normally would.

That said, I give Nash props for gutting it out. And watching him go over D'antoni's head was freaking priceless.

How he doesn't get the MVP this year is beyond me.

I think the Spurs need to lie down so he can go ahead and get the Finals MVP.

I hope his nose isn't broken. I fear it is. I've broken my noce three times (was a boxer in high school) and two of the three times it just poored blood like that. If he broke it, he may have to wear those GD masks which always take a while to get used to.

I pray it's just a gash that couldn't be closed without taking him back and s ching him up.

It looked really bad. I hope it's not a game-affecting injury.

Great seeing him get the recognition for being a player who never gives in, never gives up.

    "They say he has grit..."
    - Mattie Ross, "TRUE GRIT"
based on the way the trainer was pushing on that nose my bet is it is not broken just a giant gash. He will definitely have a good amount of s ches in that thing on Tuesday.

I've always respected Nash. After game 1, I only respect him more. He's not skeered, unlike Dirk.

Thanks guys for all of the good wishes for Nash.

Nash had 6 s ches and should be just fine.

Let's hope that bump on Parker's head slows him down a little, because there is no way that the Suns can win against the Spurs when Parker scores 30 and just kills Marion every time. The Suns need to keep Parker to around 20 to win.

Maybe they assessed that it wasn't that bad and all of the adrenaline was what kept the blood flowing.
While you gotta give Nash props for the heart to want to return, think about it in terms of reality....You get on the court, running up and down, which makes your heart pump faster and harder, which makes the blood flow faster. It simple biology. No way were they ever going to stop that blood flow in a few seconds.

Now you have to wonder, if he has to come out with one of those freaky masks on, how much will it hinder his court vision. Not to mention if the bridge of the nose is swollen and he has a couple of black eyes (which I don't see how he can't after a collision like that).

This injury, if it takes away from his game, could have more negative impact on the Suns than the way the Spurs have played them.

He doesn't get it because he has gotten it the past two years, and the media decided long ago it was Dirks turn to have it. The media isn't known for changing their minds, no matter how wrong they may be.

    Nash is a leader.....Duncan is a leader.....Baron Davis is a leader.......
    Dirk is a choker.

But regardless, he will hoist the trophy (or have it mailed to him)

I doubt that Nash will have to wear a mask because his nose is broken. But even if he does, he'd deserve to be sitting home with Dirk watching David Hasselhoff music videos if he let a thing strip of plastic come between him and a ring.

Good to see it's nothing too serious. I think Nash has definitely passed Stockton all-time, and I'd rank him as maybe the third best PG ever (Oscar and Magic are pretty untouchable at the top 2 spots). How many points have ever had a three-year run like Nash?
