Why did he suck? That surprises me, I've always wanted to see him too, figured he'd put on a great show.
Keith Urban ... last weekend. That's right. Keith ing Urban.
The Us show was incredible, it was the first time he'd been in the States on tour in years.
Saw him at the Forum in Los Angeles several weeks later, same tour, and he was just bad. He seemed like he couldn't be bothered, there was no feeling to it.
Like he was going through the motions.
We left less than an hour into it, he was that bad.
I saw a lot of concerts in my day, this was one of the few I ever walked out of.
I've heard he puts on a good show.
It was a really good show. It was a good mixture of the first album and the second album. The best past, though, was the fact that it was at the American Airlines Center and I got to take a picture in front of the Mavs Fan store making a face in front of the Western Conference Finals shirt from last year on my way out.
h
I've heard that Fear Factory is notorious for not getting a good sound out of their live shows, which is a shame cuz i really like their work.

Saw Pink Floyd the last time they came through SA when they played the Dome. Had front row center (or I guess since it was Floyd, I should say centre) seats. Right the in front of David Gilmour. Absolutely the best show by any band not named Rush I've ever been to. Looking back at the crowd and seeing 52,000+ peeps who all wish they had your seat was breathtaking. And Nick Mason's color (oops...colour) changing drumsticks were a trip also.
That and the 9 Rush shows I've been to (Aug. 12, #10...WOOHOO!!!).
I would have listed one of the hundreds of Reckless Kelly shows I've been to, but I don't count those as concerts. I consider that hanging with friends and having one of a good time.

My absolute all time bests are a tie between Steely Dan and the Eagles; close second is the B-52s. Now some of the best times I ever had was on tour with the Electric Light Orchestra. My cousin married their cellist/music arranger and I spent a wild summer on a European tour!
Another really good show I saw was Guns 'N' Roses in Austin. It was right after the big tour with Metallica fiasco when they refused to play after James Hetfield got hurt (I think in Phoenix). They were getting trashed by the fans and media, so I guess they decided to show everyone they could still rock and they did. That show kicked ass! Brian May opened on his solo tour and he was incredible as well. During his final song after an extended solo, he kicked into the "Waynes World headbanging scene" part of Bohemian Rhapsody and the Erwin Center went NUTS.
And this just in, Slash can drink some Jack Daniels.
I've seen the B-52's several times, and they've been awesome every time.
The Pretenders were good, Brian Setzer Orchestra was great, Save Ferris for $7.00 at the county fair was surprisingly good. Cake was good. But I think the best concert I've ever been to was, shockingly, Harry Connick, Jr. in 1996 when he was touring with his funk band. Saw them at the Warfield in San Francisco and he was just amazing -- great atmosphere, great energy, great set and he played every single instrument on the stage throughout the course of the show.
As for concerts I've missed... could have seen Southern Culture on the Skids a few years ago for a $10.00 cover, but none of my friends had heard of them and didn't want to go with me. Also missed Tom Jones in Vegas because the friends I was with thought it would be too dorky. It would have, of course, but that's kind of the point of seeing Tom Jones in Vegas.
What year did you see Steely Dan?
Bernie Worrel puts on one of a show. the last time i saw him will calhoun (from Living Colour) was drumming for him, that was a treat. the first time i saw him, the place was nearly empty, but he pulled people in off the street steadily over 2 hours, and it was packed at the end. the man is a god and p-funk would have been a blip on the radar without him. i am still reeling from the two times i saw buckethead last year - both shows went over 2.5 hours.
To say the least!
When I saw Guns N Roses open for Aerosmith, the Aerosmith boys had cleaned up their act.
The Aerosmith section backstage was full of fruit and bottled water.
The GNR side was filled with...everything else you can imagine!![]()
And that side sure had the rowdier party going on!
I saw SD in 2000 and again last year at the Verizon.
oh yeah we got to see UFO at la semana alegre in SA, Michael Shenker was with them too. That was a great show.
