Nice, Scola's coming on his own. I wish him good luck -as long not when he plays against the Spurs.
So for every game in which Scola plays great, you'll bring up a scrub who once posted similar numbers, preferably against such team. Yesterday it was Mengke Bateer, now it's Nazr's turn. Now all you've got to do is find one such scrub for every team in the league, and you've made sure nothing he ever does is worthy of note. Yup, that would seem to be the kind of incontrovertible argument only a superior mind could think of.
Oberto went 11-for-11 against Suns.
I wouldn't argue Scola's a scrub. It's just that his work would be duplicated with Oberto already here, and Scola would be limited in use compared to Oberto, since Oberto can guard centers.
Scola couldn't compete for minutes on this team, especially as a rookie.
Plus, as has been noted many, many times, Scola is scoring this high with T-mac out. Once T-mac returns, those shot opportunities dry up. I predict, eventually, Scola will end up a 10 pt, 5 rb guy.
Just watched Suns beat Rockets and, wow, Scola's a total thug. He's a flopper, a hacker, a fouler, and a cheapshot artist. I can understand why Spurs fans admire him so much. He'd fit right in on Pop's team.
