    ITs like a laker fan mentioned on LG when other fans complained that Phill Jackson is a terrible coach compared to Pop because Pop is winning with a less talented spurs team without Duncan while the lakers have more talent. The fan stated that the spurs are more talented then the lakers even without Duncan due to having 2 perenial all-star guards while the Lakers have no all-stars outside of Kobe and that the spurs without Duncan are more like the bulls without Jordan circa 93-94 that they are still a very good team capable of getting 50-55 wins but they are just not great.

    No way they're better without him, but those 2 wins over top contenders in the West, without Tim, doesn't bode well for the contenders.

    Yes, they squeeked by for 2 close wins at home without TD, when before that, they were averaging a 14 pt win differential at home with TD, so maybe you have a point. Riiiight

    Look, clearly Duncan is important to this team. But he doesn't have to be on the floor to contribute. He's made a great cheerleader the last two games, and our record is better this year with him in THAT position than the PF position.

    I think he should retire and take a symbolic "assistant coach" position so we can free up a roster spot for Mahinmi.
