Bush senior can have that opinion...

The fact that it is legally defined as treason to negotiate with foreign powers the United States is at war with, while serving in the US military, without government sanction...is beyond opinion, and that is what John Kerry did.

When you refer to John Kerry as a "slandered war hero", please take the time to google and read his congressional testimony from 1972 (I think that is the correct year). He essentially threw his fellow servicemen as a group completely under the bus with blanket statements saying they behaved similarly to Ghengis Khan's hordes, murdering women and children, cutting off heads, arms, legs etc. Atrocities by Americans did occur in Vietnam; however, Kerry generalized the situation way way too much and accused the military of conducting a policy of terror against the general population. Kerry's activities and behavior in the early seventies will never be forgiven by many soldiers, airmen, and sailors. I doubt Kerry would be very popular in San Antonio in particular with all of the retired military there.
