Just out of curisosity....do you have the entire list?
this thread will go down in spurstalk lore as one of the most underrated in all its history.
I would like to thank everyone for their participation.
Just out of curisosity....do you have the entire list?
LMAO
I'm glad this thread happened while I was driving home.
Just for the sake of argument...
At one point Robert Horry was touted as being the second coming of Magic Johnson...if that was the case that lead to his ranking at the top of this list, one could argue it was accurate.
don't have it anymore.
the 'Vote' icon doesn't work.
:-(
More Spurs Trivia!!
Who is the only Spur to score 30 points or more in his NBA debut?
The first correct answer will receive four bonus points.
:-)
Did he have 30 points in his Spurs debut or in his professional debut? Do ABA debuts count?
Will we have to wait 3 pages to see if an answer is actually correct?
I don't know but let me just say that FWDT hates him whoever it is...
I don't think Dave scored that many....
I'm gonna say Willie Anderson if it's a rookie.
Kenny Baker?
You're re ed.
I just looked it up...
It was Willie Anderson.

Dave had 23 (and 17 boards) in his debut. Timmy had 15 (and 10).
Willie did have 30 in his Spurs debut.

Some guys were never rookies - Magic
Good work!
What are you gonna do with your four bonus points?
Regarding Horry, I remember Rocket Fan melting down when they picked Horry ahead of Harold Minor. The Rocket Fans wanted either Minor or Byron Houston and were pizzed that the team took Horry.
The Rockets were criticized by a lot of people (not just their fans) for picking Horry, who was expected to be selected closer to the end of the first round. During the draft, I remember the commentators saying Horry was too aloof to make an impact as an NBA player.
I forgot if it was Buck Harvey or someone else in the local newspaper but I remember that the Express-News had an article about how the Rockets should have picked Minor ... if only for entertainment purposes. This was at a point in time when Olajuwon wasn't even that good, the Rockets were thinking about trading him and there was really no hope for a championship in the near future.
Then Olajuwon learned how to pass and the Rockets added clutch mf'ers like Horry and Cassell . . .![]()
Hey...I was just doing my part to end this thing before Gallileo made it confusing and drug it out for 3 pages.
FWD bonus points >> whottt bonus points
I know...and glad you did so, cause this guy is ridiculous.
But, FWDT does have one more point than you, so we can only pray for more trivia...
Now for my question:
How much crack did Gallileo smoke before logging on to ST today?
I've seen you say this before but when exactly was he touted as being the second coming of Magic? Horry was pretty much trashed at every level. Most people mistook his patience (or whatever you want to call it) for laziness and not caring. Even when he got to the Rockets, I think it was Olajuwon who asked Horry if Horry even cared if the Rockets won or lost games. In college, everyone always complained that Horry wasn't doing enough ... especially after his stats regressed from his sop re to junior year, IIRC. When exactly were these Magic comparisons?
Final Trivia:
true or false; there was a college basketball all-american who was born in the 19th century and who died in the 21st century? If true, who?
The first correct answer breaks the tie and earns 6 bonus points.
