OK, boys and girls, I've got some NBA trivia for you.
The High School class of 1988 was one of the most renowned in history (right up there with 1981 and 1979).
The five top blue-chip recruits were; Alonzo Mourning, Billy Owens, Shawn Kemp, Stanley Roberts, and Kenny Williams.
These players started their freshmen year in college in the fall of 1988 (except Williams).
OK, now here is the question.
The Sporting News college basketball preview magazine (Fall '88) rated all the freshman, in many categories. The most under-rated freshman was Byron Houston, for example.
QUESTION
Who was rated the most over-rated freshman???
The first person to answer this correctly gets FIVE Bonus points!!!!!
PS - If no one gets this after one page, I will post a hint.
Good luck, boys and girls.

If it's not Horry (or Dell Demps), I'm not sure how the question is Spurs-related.
hmm, I'm assuming this is Spurs related so... Sean Elliott!
I have no idea what year he was a freshman, to lazy to look it up
shawn kemp.....and he never played college ball
Are you trying to tell me that Horry is overrated??
Danny Manning's collegiate team won an NCAA championship in the spring of 1988, so he wasn't in the class of freshmen that entered college in the fall of 1988.
Sean Elliott entered college in the fall of 1985.
Sean Elliot is from the wrong year. He is not from the HS class of '88.
I'm trying to tell you that Robert Horry is my guess to the question, "Which Freshman did the Sporting News Rate as Most Overrated in 1988?"
That answer has no subjective analysis of the merits of the publication's prediction.
not Kemp.
I tried to fix it before anyone saw![]()
This is a good list. The correct answer is no it.
You can't really over-rate being the common thread to 7 NBA championships and a bevy of well remembered shots to prove you weren't just coattailing.
Chris Webber?
