So you're saying it wasn't just a box out, but rather an attempt to mess with Stackhouse? That much is obvious - with the way Manu did his little act and the cowered near the scorer's table with his usual palms-up, missing tooth parade. He does this all the time and none of you will admit that he purposefully throws his body around and then steps back as though he didn't intend to do it. It's bush-league bull and you all buy into it because he comes off all innocent with the way he struggles with the English language to give out his gracious quotes after the game. And you can call Stackhouse anything you want. I'm surprised he kept his cool enough to not go Kermit Washington on the little .
that type of box out happens 50 times in any given night. that you take exception to it tells me that you never watch dampier grab a rebound.
I know, when did a hard box out become antics? It's Mavs fan, so I guess it's to be expected.
relax fellas, no big deal with this quote.
when you have cajones as tiny as Stack does, it helps to have your coach remind you of your gender on occasion. that's all.
No I am saying it was a box out. And I have said many a time that Manu throws his body around and if anything it will shorten his career before it will anyone else's.
There's no way to justify what Stack did. If you don't like the way a guy is playing you, you answer back on the court, you don't pull dirty bull like that. That's just enabling the guy, confirming that whatever he's doing is working.
Just beat him on the court if you're so sick of what he's doing.
inside the mind of a maverick. No freakin wonder.
What you're not getting is that it wasn't just this one play. It was everything leading up to it, from this game to any other they've played this season. And not just from the Mavericks - from every team in the league that has to endure watching this Muppet-looking mother er fall into people 20 times a game. What is it about Manu that his sense of gravity and balance are weaker than a toddler just learning to walk?
He didn't flail his arm out bag. He put a forearm in Stackhouse's chest to keep him boxed out. house was just pissed because Manu was tattooing the Mavs ass again and house was a poor sport as always. He's a , that's all.
I feel like this is not the first time Manu has flailed his limbs around recklessly and risked injuring another player. I wouldn't cheer what Stack did or if another player takes a similar approach. I'll just say that by doing these kinds of things repeatedly that piss off and irritate other players, when they don't believe it's unintentional, Manu is playing with fire. Other than that, I have no judgment on what transpired.
I'd love to show how Bad boys (DET) used to box out ... that were good and strong plays, but even that you shouldn't catch anybody's neck from behind, in NFL that is a foul and automatic 15 yards ...
But this thread is specifically about that play. If you want to create a "Manu: flopping and flailing throughout history" thread be my guest but this thread is centered on what happened yesterday.
Do you think there would be this much ing about Manu "endangering players with his wild reckless type of play" if he happened to be on the whiner's team? freakin' no!
Damn, just get over it already. Manu puts the beat down on your team night in and night out, he just can't help being that good.
Okay, whatever you say, homer bag.
He also drove Stackhouse to the floor after the successful boxout had been accomplished. He put a forearm in Stackhouse's chest to keep him boxed out.
Takes one to know one I guess. Manu shrugged it off, I don't understand why you guys can't as well.house was just pissed because Manu was tattooing the Mavs ass again and house was a poor sport as always. He's a , that's all
And if you really want the league to look closer at Manu's flailing around, then next time he catches someone in the face with a flailing limb, that guy needs to FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE and fall to the ground writhing in pain like he just got hit by a grenade. Flop around like a for a few minutes and maybe next time Manu flails around the refs will take notice.
You've got to be a little smarter about it than to just take a guy down by his neck.
Since when did I play for the team? Feel free to insult me and the Maverick fanbase all you want - we're not the ones that stand up and applaud injuries to other players like the Spurs fans in section 114 did yesterday. You want to talk about being "inside the heads" of a team's fans? What does that behavior exhibit?
I think its pretty obvious that Manu throws himself to get contact, but it didn't happen here jackass. How you can surmise that it did is beyond me. Second of all, there is no excuse for what Stackhouse did, and you trying to play the whole "I understand why he did it" just leads people to believe you're about as mature and intelligent as he is, which is 5 ing years old worth.
This altercation shouldn't result on a suspension, but it definitely should result in a big ing fine.
And there's a reason you had to use the past tense to describe what they did.
Mavs just don't get it. You would think getting bounced in the 1st round would have been a wake up call. Maybe being lottery bound will do it, but maybe not.
Just admit it, you dumb . Stackhouse is Manu's .
Because it was BEFORE the wussification of the NBA.
