This season isn't on Dirk.

it will be a busy offseason for the Mavs, something that was needed after GS IMO for that team.
This season isn't on Dirk.
technically, no, but in the equation that the west is tight, then yes it is by unfortunate cir stances. mavs wouldve made playoffs if dirk is healthy.
What's to argue about? Mark Cuban is a moron. But I'm guessing you'd sooner suck on his balls than call him an idiot.
No Avery? Fail.
Oh, I agree with that. 9 good teams, 8 spots, it's musical chairs and the Mavs lost out by an injury to their best player at the worst possible time. Thing is, they pretty much would've clinched a playoff spot with a win tonight. Due to the tiebreaker at stake, it was a 3-game swing for both teams.
It's amazing how a lot of Spurs fans want to let Avery off the hook for the Mavs failures. It's not all on Avery, and him leaving doesn't come close to completely fixing what's wrong with this team, but head coach is a weakness for us at this point.
I just ordered a t-shirt from FireAvery.com
I'm going to get tickets to the last home game, wear my shirt, use the free posterboard & markers to make myself a nice "Fire Avery" sign, and just be as obnoxious as possible.
It's gonna be great.
I'd argue that Kidd and the trade aren't the issue. It's Avery, his tactics, his coaching style, his bull offense, his over-coaching, his micromanagement, his refusal to let the younger players make a mark (Wright this evening), his supposed "system", his teat-suckling on all things Spur that he thought he'd bring to Dallas and his Arnold haircut.
You can always go![]()
We don't do that. We go to KFC and eat a bowl and listen to sad music.
IT's not avery to bring down the house, and mavs future for the next 5 seasons, by trading away a star pg, for an aging one who have no trade value, takes up way too much cap space for what he's worth, and now the mavs are totally screwed, it's all on cuban!
I agree with you on Avery. However, Kidd and the trade, is definitely an issue as well.
kidd's contract is off the books next summer, avery hasnt adjusted the offense to play to his strengths. if avery didnt want kidd, he shouldve said so. i dont think cuban wouldve initiated the move if avery put his foot down. you dont change your starting pg if the coach isnt on board. the way the mavs work, everything is done by consensus. avery and donnie were on board.
Haha as a mavs fan you should know what happen if avery dared speak out against the stalinist cuban.
Did I miss when Harris became an allstar?
It's easy to say "Dirk is a choker" etc, but I always thought Avery was overrated when everyone was licking his nuts. When things are tough, you can see his true colors (whiny, breakdowns, etc).
Since when does Cuban call the shots on trades and roster moves. What basketball background did he come from again? Is he like a retired hall of fame coach and no one decided to tell me?
i saw avery's face in that press conference for the kidd trade, he looks really sad, i havent seen him so sad, and cuban was beaming like jesus christ!
In his own mind I'm sure he thinks he is.
compelling evidence. i am convinced.
cuban missed kidd ever since he left dallas, you can tell he's willing to sell away the mavs future for a great comeback kidd story leading the mavs to the championship, and cuban and kidd sharing a kiss at the podium, alas it's not to happen.
i think its becoming clear dirks supporting cast has been overrated.
Um..how could Cuban miss Kidd when he was gone long before Cuban even bought the team?
